Hi. I don't have enough money to keep myself in constant supply of comic books ( :( ), so I must admit, my knowledge of what is currently going on is a bit like stale swiss cheese at the moment. I was hoping someone here to could help me with a few questions that have really been bothering me of late. Thanks.
1) After the whole Batman-telling-Spoiler-Robin's-Identity fiasco, what's Tim's relationship with Steph like at the moment? Are they on the mend, still avoiding each other mightily, or about to split up?
2) A question, or rather a set of them, about the D.E.O. What exactly are they SUPPOSED to do? (i.e.: What does the public think they do?) I know Luthor doesn't tell his admiring populace that part of their mission is to perform sometimes (oftentimes) torturous experiments on children with meta genes. What's the JLA's, Titans' and Young Justice's position on them, respectively? I can sort of guess what YJ thinks of them, being that they saved Secret from being executed by them, and I'm sure Robin's not too thrilled with them. I know there was an agent named Fite, who was supposedly (I never got the confirmation on this) Empress' father. What about MADD? who is that? I've surmised that he/she/it killed Fite, and Anita is mightily ticked. Though every time I see the name, I can't help but think Mothers Against Drunk Driving is behind the whole thing. I always knew they had their own Island Nation of Evil (tm). ;) J/K, of course.
3) I know it's been a while since Cissie left the team. Is there any plan in the DC brass to bring her back as Arrowette? Oliver survived Longbow Hunters, after all, albeit never quite the same. I think it'd be interesting for the two of them to talk. Or perhaps she and Nightwing, being that he technically beat the Joker to death.
4) Since when is Robin not the leader of YJ anymore?! What happened? Secret ID thing, I'm sure. I'm sorry, but if that's the reason, that's lame. Mondo lame. :) I don't need to know someone's real name to trust them, if I know their personalty. On the same note, who's in charge now?
5) Traya lives with Cissie at a boarding school? I thought Red Tornado got custody...how odd.
6) What's the current status of Harm? I assume he's presumed dead.
7) Does YJ, minus Robin, know Oracle exists?
8) In some places on the web, I've seen it postulated that Bart will get calmer and little bit less ... Impulsive as he grows up. Is this suggested in the comics, or are random fans pulling hopes out of the air?
And this last one is asking for an opinion of course, and will probably get me labeled a whacko fanboy, but if Robin and Spoiler are finished, how many people here would like to see more development (not neccessarily romantic, yet) between Robin and Secret? I was looking through various cover pictures from the YJ run, and I caught the one with Secret and Spoiler duking it out, which, along with getting me to think about this, almost made my root beer go down the wrong hole. Which would have been really bad, because that was my last can... :) I can't help but feel like they're going for a redux of Babs and Dick here. They both dance around the issue of how they really feel about each other for a few decades realtime, finally hook up after annoying most of us up through our first midlife crisis, etc. And I could deal with that. I think it'd be kind of cute. For some reason, I really like Secret, though I'm not quite sure why yet. She's got that realistic feel to her character, perhaps, even though she's a cloud of mist.
