This thread might belong in the comics section, but here I go. The other night I was watching the Man-Bat episode On Leather Wings. I was quite intrigue on how Bullock wanted his own task force to capture the Batman, but Gordon was against it. Then it got me thinking of the episode Over The Edge where Gordon found out Bruce Wayne was Batman and blamed him for the death of Barbara Gordon.

Long story short. I know there is the Bruce Wayne Fugitive series. But does anyone know if there is a comic or a series that deals with what if the world knew Bruce Wayne was Batman. I mean if you look at all the animated shows there is a handful of people who know he is Batman.

Alfred
Dick Grayson
Tim Drake
Barbara Gordon
Leslie Thompkins (I think that is right)
Ra's Al Ghul
Talia
The Joker (ROTJ)
Dr. Hugo Strange
Superman
Lois Lane
Terry McGinnis
Max

If anyone know please tell me.

Holla!

From my limited knowledge, The Murderer/Fugitive storyline is the only one that's dealt with that. Though there are loads more people that know who Batman is, I know there are dozens that know the identity of Nightwing. I'll move this to the comic board.

Howdy,

There have been several stories in the Batman comic world where individuals have discovered (or guessed) who Batman was. Off the top of my head, the original Hugo Strange discovered it way back when; the story was retold in a story arc in the Legends of the Dark Knight comic in the early 90's. There's also Silver St. Cloud, one of Bruce's love interests during the Denny O'Neil/Neal Adams Batman era (70's, I think). Much tension was generated as she waited to see if Bruce would come clean of his own free will, while he was trying to figure out whether she knew or not. The story didn't end happily.

As for total unmasking stories, where Bats' identity is outed to the populace at large (vs. an individual), the only stories I can think of are The Dark Knight Returns (which almost doesn't count, given the circumstances of the revelation) and Kingdom Come, where a throwaway line reveals that Two-Face and Bane trash Wayne Manor after Batman got "outed." Unfortunately, both stories use the outing as side points rather than the point of the story.
