Favorite Super Hero ?

DC Comics is set to announce a new Captain Marvel "Project" in San Diego at the Comic Convention this week. He is on of my all time favorite Golden Age characters. Batman would be a very close 2nd. So I was thinking.

Captain Marvel is the young teenager Billy Batson turned into Captain Marvel by thew Wizard SHAZAM the Initals stand for diffrent God and thier powers maytbe someone wil post them, Before Captain Marvel there was Black Adam but that's a diffrent story

Reed Richards definatly ranks up there, but so too does Machine Man. Spider-Man, Captain Comet, the Green Hornet, The Lone Ranger (can we count him?) Daredevil, Superman, The Flash and a few others are also extremely high on my favourites list-- just in no particular order :)

Superman all the way. It's no coincidence that JLA sales went through the roof when Superman joined. About equally I like Spiderman, Cyclops, Silver Surfer, Thor and the Thing from Marvel and Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Captain Atom, and Captain Marvel from DC .

in the recent past, me and my friend have actually sat down and made our top ten lists for superheros.
1) shadowcat, from x-men.
2) green lantern (kyle raynor).
3) beast, from x-men.
4) spider-man.
5) blink, from x-men (age of apocalypse and exiles, namely).
6) batman beyond.
7) nightwing.
8) batman.
9) morph, from x-men (also age of apocalypse and exiles).
10) cyclops, from x-men.

i figured i might as well share that with you all, since i actually spent time to figure it out.

I was going to declare Judge Dredd, but he's not really a super hero per se...

Zenith - British lout of gene superhero stock. Uses it mainly to become famous. Great stuff. Grant Morrison who wrote for JLA wrote Zenith, so if you like his mix of metaphysical, fights and utter confusion, dig out a copy.

Spider-Man - Nuff said, true believers!

Hulk - Lots going on there. So many incarnations. Always been a fan.

Superman - Growing on me. There is more than meets the eye to this big lug. Certainly more than the American way..

Captain Britian - Marvels best character - not because he's british, but because he's an oaf, and a pretty bad hero. He's a recovering alcoholic, a lousy boyfriend, bad temper and hits people. Refreshing.

Batman - there are so many levels to the character and his scenerio. I love it all.

1. Superman, though he needs some good stories to show how good he is.

I've listed my favourites in another thread but I'll just add some more recent favs..

The Flash. Thanks to JL, he has grown on me. Following some of the JLA comics has helped too. When I was a tiny nipper, I used to follow Barry's Flash. I used to love the ring with the compacted costume. That was great.

Green Lantern. Mine has been and always shall be Hal Jordan. He was a great GL. I missed his fall from the grace of GL, but he was another DC favs from when I was a nipper.

Batgirl. The new and the old. Didn't think I'd like the new one when I heard of her strength, but somehow they've pulled off another great character.
