How come they took it off the air again? Those reruns are awesome. Anyone wanna sell me some of the episodes?

That show and BJ and the Bear were the best shows to watch growing up. I wish they would show reruns of BJ and the Bear!

...but at least we're getting a Facts of Life reunion movie! Yay, or something.

Or something.
And they are redoing the Brady Bunch for modern times. It will be an interracial couple this time around. I wonder which lucky network is picking this bad boy up? My money is on UPN.

They did that concept already on Fox some years back. I remember the late actress who played Rhoda's mother was the unethusiastic mother-in-law to a black dentist whose office was in the basement. It went down the toilet after a couple of seasons after some recasting and the passing of the aforementioned actress. Sweet mother of all that's holy, are they just recycling decade-old scripts with the names inked over in a red crayon and new names written in?
Oh, and have you heard talk of the coming Hogan's Heroes movie? I've always said if they did something like that they should get Robert Clary, Richard Dawson, and Werner Klemperer (who has sadly died since) to do cameos....

If you mean the live action Dukes, it's on TNN; that is if they haven't removed it by now. The de-countrification on the National Network (sarcasm) continues; even the Opry is off now, moving to CMT this weekend. If you mean the cartoon Dukes, I'd like to see it too. I can only remember one ep, the one where Boss Hogg's nice niece was with them. Partly because she was one of the good guys, he arranged her kidnapping. And I'd also like to see B.J. & the Bear, of which I have very vague memories. It was Greg Evigan's claim to fame before My Two Dads, where he co-starred with Diner alumnus Paul Reiser, later of Mad About You fame. And, let's see, that co-starred Helen Hunt, who won an Oscar for As Good As It Gets, where she co-starred with Jack Nicholson, who's been parodied in many a KWB toon. Whew, I knew I'd get this thread back around to WB if I just followed it long enough.
It's sad, really. I can remember when Nick @ Nite would compare Facts of Life to lumpy oatmeal, & now they air it. I'm just ticked that I didn't tape more Alf the night it aired on that '80's week. (I can also remember when the Captain wouldn't be able to pass up a line like this.) Need we re-state the Warners never liked Facts of Life?
And I remember that interracial Brady Bunch thingie; True Colors, starring Nancy Walker. It was crossing Brady Bunch with Cosby (come on, a doctor with an office in his own basement?). The real rip-off of Brady Bunch was Step By Step. The parents even had the same hair color & style! I once heard that there are only so many ideas (7? 9?), & that everything copies something that came before it.

When I was 12 years old, I was watching Super Human Samurai Syber Squad (Before there was a young samurai named Jack), Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and VR Troopers, I have got one of those tapes of VR Troopers and SHSSS, and recorded some of the MMPR episodes to remember by.

I watched Power Rangers when I was a little kid too! I kinda lost intrest because they went through so many actor and ranger type changes....what happened to the good ole' dinozords?:( Heck, what happened to the power rangers in general? They went through so many variations, it got confusing to keep track of them...
I have the a coupla eppys of MMPR on tape as well; the first eppy and two of the green ranger's first apperence.

I watched the "Dukes of Hazzard" when I was a kid, and even got as a gift from my grandmother the car and Luke & Bo action figures. Mom never liked the show; I just liked the car chases (which I guess I was really into when I was 7). Nowadays, while I did see one of those reunion movies, I haven't seen the show itself in years (and don't feel too inclined to re-watch it in reruns)...
Never seen "BJ and the Bear"... did watch the "Facts of Life" (we watched a lot of TV at our house, OK? :-) ...nobody in our house liked "The Brady Bunch" (and I still don't)... never heard of the "interracial Brady Bunch program" mentioned below. And if one wants TV remakes, I recall "704 Hauser St"(sp?), which featured an African-American family moving into the house that Archie used to live in (from "All in the Family"), and said show featuring some aging liberal guy and his conservative son (IIRC; presumably a reverse of the old AITF theme, unless I got their political pov's reversed). Supposedly CBS ran reruns of AITF after this series, and the old reruns got better ratings....
And when I was 12, I was watching...um..."DuckTales". And probably "GI Joe" or somesuch...

I thought "Duck Tales" was great. Never really liked "Power Rangers" though. Left me cold. Same with the "VR Troopers" and "Beetle-Borgs". In fact, I used to watch the "Disney Afternoon" as an alternative to that stuff. And then came Kid's WB.

The interracial Brady Bunch will be called the Brady Bunch. They will probably add something at the end of that to make it updated, like Brady Bunch, Yo. I don't know. But this is something the people behind the TV series and the movies are now working on.

Here's an article posted @ Yahoo! about said Brady Bunch special:

According the article... the lucky network is Fox! ...how fitting =X
Yeah, I too watched the Dukes of Hazzard when I was a kid. I'm kinda a car buff, so I really liked those chase scenes (I don't want to even think about how many '69 Dodge Chargers they totaled in that series! :( )
I remeber BJ & the Bear too. Have'nt seen it in years, but I thought it was pretty cool--that monkey stole the show! Speaking of trucking shows, remember Movin' On? The only reason I do is because they filmed an ep (or a scene from an ep, I can't remember which) right here in our fair city--something about an elephant I think.
As for cartoons shows: Rocky & Bullwinkle, Speed Racer, and Jonny Quest were some of my favs as a kid . But the best by far (IMHO) was the Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner Show-- I wish they'd bring that back ( on CN or something).
