Hey gang, wouldn't be an excellent way to bring back LNB&W by bring back Bosko & Buddy and maybe let's see ummmmmm, Flip The Frog :p :p :p ???????

That would be neat. But since I have all of them on DVD I'd much rather see some Fleischer Stone Age cartoons. Does anyone have any of these? The sketches in The Fleischer Story look fantastic!!!

Even if Cartoon Network was able to air those, it would not be on Late Night Black and White, as the series was made in Technicolor.

The only problem is, CN doesn't own the rights to Flip, but there is a very small chance that they'd pay royalties to show the Flip the Frog series. I'd certainly like them to.

The news page says that LNB&W returns Sept. 8th.
Also, it says that Looney Tunes Babies starts on the 16th.

They're not Fleischer's best. Not bad. Just not the studio's best. Part of the problem is that four decades of THE FLINTSTONES has made the basic gag idea behind them a little too familiar.

Nice! Very nice!
Although I'm pretty sure I've seen every flicker they've ever run on LNB&W, it's nice to know that future generations will be able to get acquainted with our old pen and ink pals.

Personally I wish the two Milt Gross cartoons, "Wanted No Master" and "Jitterbug Follies", were continued as a series. Those cartoons are really funny, and as I recall the dog was voiced by none other than Mel Blanc. I think the characters were funny, the character designs were funny, and Screwloose's butler was funny. Great films. Actually, I bought that book that Jerry Beck had been selling a while back, that originally came with a limited-edition "Porky in Wackyland" cel painting. Milt Gross' newspaper comics actually inspired a number of the characters in Bob Clampett's Wackyland.

We need more "Buddy" - that's the one character that I have the least of in my collections! If it's true that LNB&W is coming back - then whoo hoo! :D

The Popeye Show will continue to be at 1am. What that probably means is:
1) No primetime Popeye Show.
2) Late Night Black and White will not be at 1am.
That information is based only on a schedule at the Adult Swim board.

Pilmedium, Matt has it listed before AS starts. He just didn't change the actual number, but it is listed at the 9:30 slot. And he has said that Popeye would be moving to 9:30 already. You should consider this kind of stuff and at least ask Matt about it before spreading things around.
