You know that script review on Batman: Year One that was released not too long ago? The one that claimed that Alfred was a jive talking black man and that Jim Gordon drinks and "cheets" on his wife?
I come bearing wonderful news.
It was all a hoax!
Here's Comics2Film to give us a breath of fresh air:
Year One Script Review A Hoax
Last week a person known only as Spooky Drelock circulated what was purported to be a script review of Frank Miller and Darren Aronofsky's screenplay for Batman: Year One. The ludicrous e-mail described a funky, that-70's-Batman with a jive-talking Joker, a black Alfred and a host of other images that Comics2Film is happy to verify what many already suspected: the review (and the alleged script) is a hoax.would curdle fanboy blood.
Sadly, the "review" made its way onto the internet causing a stir among bat-fans. However, after a few brief phone calls,
C2F checked with Frank Miller's agent who told us that there is no June 22 draft of the script. In fact, the writer hasn't completed a first draft yet. "He's just started writing the script," said Miller's rep. Miller has only recently wrapped work on his Dark Knight Strikes Back graphic novel.
Breath easy, folks. Breath easy.
Cheers.
