How Do You Rate the JL Teaser?

I think that the promo was pretty cool, they showed alot of the JL in action against alien ships or something. I really like how the Green Laturn glows in the dark when he was flying in the sky his body was green all around him, I thought that was really cool. And the best thing is that were back in the dark animation, and not in the real bright animation, so all and all the promo was really cool.

If it was any longer, it wouldn't be a 'teaser', would it? A teaser is designed to make you mind numbing aching for more. You have to realize, the world, in general, has not been waiting for this cartoon for years. Cartoon Network has all the way until November to start showing longer previews. I'm downloading it right now, I'll let you know what I think once I watch it.

Okay, Update:

It was okay, but they should have shown more establishing of shots for the characters, it didn't have the right beat or pace to it. They probably through it together at the last minute, but for all its worth, not bad.

I feel it should have been a bit longer too. I agree with SilentBob on the point of teasers, but still, you could hardly even see some of the characters, with some of them moving around very quickly and having the teaser so short. As someone noticed, Flash wasn't even there. I would've liked to at least see each character clearly for a second, whether on their own or in a group. Very cool action though.

you've got an eye. I never saw it till I read your post and looked at the trailer again but its there right next to Batman when Superman throws that alien ship into the ground.

is it just me or did wonder woman seem weirdly animated? Like she seemed flat, like the colors were really flat, almost cheep looking. i'm sure its just me, but something seemed off there. opinions....

I thought Wonder Woman looked weird as wel. There was just something off about her that I couldnt t put my finger on. She looked sorta stumpy, I though. The best part of the teaser was Batman. When he looked at the camera it was great. Overall, I enjoyed it. We got good shots of Batman, Manhunter, Hawkgirl, and Wonder Woman. Still, there is a bit to be desired...

And was it just me or did the shines in Batman's costume look more blue than purple-gray?

i'm not too fond of batman's ears however. another poster said it, it just look kind of childish. it may work in the comic but in the cartoon, it looks a bit funny.

I thought it was pretty good. But I don't like Batman's new look all that much. I have a feeling that i'll get used to it though.

Batman's look doesn't bother me. Even when TNBA first came out, I wasn't bothered by the designs at all. I was just grateful that Batman was back. Then, after it was around long enough to sink in, I did my nitpicking. :O)

I liked it but I saw that footage at Comic Con. I was hoping for something new ah well. Wonder Woman does look good btw.

Anyone else notice Martian Manhunter has no ears?
I think it works well in this character style, I just wonder if the comic books will eventually adopt the same look.
Timm certainly has a way of making things his own.

I think John looks really cool on the Teaser.

He looks like an alien and he looks just creepy enough to be cool.

I think half of the "weirdness" of the way Wonder Woman looks has to do with lighting effect used on her just as she deflects the laser blasts with her bracelets. It throws everything off for a split second (which is just about the length of the entire shot anyway). I agree there does seem to be somethinh different about her scene.

Has anyone heard which company is providing the animation, for either just the pilot or for the entire season? I'm really hoping for TMS.

From the looks of this promo, i'm almost certain it's TMS. Hopefully they'll do the entire series, but you'll have to ask someone who knows for sure. I've got a good eye, but no inside scoop.

I finally saw the teaser today and i must say...I loved it! The action was cool. I only wish it was a wee bit longer :rolleyes: Batman's new look will grow on me as I watch the show when it airs. I have a question. Will JLA be aired on any Canadian channels? Please let it air on channel Fox...please please please...or YTV :rolleyes: I really wanna see this show....can't wait.:)

It has a HUGE chance of going to TELETOON more than any other channel. I'd prefer it there than YTV.

I wanted it to be longer too of course, but I still loved it. Really great! Short, sweet, it did what it had to. Although I also would have liked to see a bit more of each characters design and make up. We need that kind of stuff! I was probably just satisfied because I got a nice close up of Batman, and some good shots of Superman.

Batman's new look will grow on me more as well, I think. Although I also like it the way it is at the moment. With longer ears on Bruce, to add to Bruce's intimidating picture, I think he can make it work very well. Maybe I wouldn't have gone THAT long though, in fear some morons would mistake him for Terry because he has long ears. It's a stupid worry, I know, but you KNOW those ignorant non-fans exist! Ya know I hate em!

I was satisfied with how everyone else looked for the most part. I can't WAIT to see all the animation and effects going to Green Lanturn. I hope I like this John guy though. I'm still somewhat royally ticked off I don't get Kyle.

I hope the entire series is going to be done by TMS. But if not (which I'm against of course) then I might not be THAT unhappy. Think about it! It'll be just like the old days when a new episode of Batman or Superman would come out and we'd rate the animation!! Those days are coming back!!!!!!

Speaking of which, I'd say Bud's got a REALLY good point. We just want out characters and their shows back, THEN after that's squared away, we do the nitpicking. But I don't think I'll be doing that much on Batman's redesign. I really really like it a lot, and I'm glad the blueish/black streaks are there. AND I'm also glad the animation isn't all bright and freaky ala Zeta. A VERY important point someone brought up.....
