View Full Version : How much do the BATMAN BEYOND comics suck?

That was a rhetorical question. Every issue has sucked major donkey balls, but I think the worst issue was MUMMY, OH! and JULIET. Terry and Dana are on a field trip to the Gotham Museum. An ancient mummy comes to life (and disrupts their tour group) b/c he thinks Dana is his long lost love. Once they reunite the mummy with his queen (who was on display in another part of the museum) his soul is finally able to rest. It was the gayest piece of crap I had ever read. I felt embarrassed for the person who wrote it. The BATMAN BEYOND comic deserves to be cancelled.

It's funny how the best issues were FILL-IN ISSUES! I think Batman Beyond #5 (mini) and Batman Beyond #14 are the biggest peices of crap ever pubslished. It's a shame that Min S. Ku's art in #14 was subjected to such a horribly bad story. Issue #20, written by a fill-in was a GREAT read, though. While I'm bummed to find out that Bader will write #24, at least we have three issues of nice fill-in by Paul Storrie and Hilary (SIMPSONS COMICS) Barta. The odd thing is, this comic sold on the same level as BATMAN: GOTHAM ADVENTURES, and DC is cancelling it so abruptly. I have to say only 30% of the series was good.

I might have them to sell to ya. I forget which issue I stopped collecting the series on, but the ones I do have, I was planning on selling off anyway. E-mail me, and I'll check and let you know.

On the whole, this comic series has been pretty mediocre. Still, a few issues stand out as perfect examples of what the series could have been like. For instance, the first issue (of the ongoing series) was terrific... and so was the one with Shriek. Plus a few other not so bad stories.

Rousseau deserved better stories.

Huh?? In the control panel, edit options screen I checked that admins and moderators could send me e-mail. How come you can't get it from there?

I don't even read the comics anymore. The mailman delivers them to my house, and I just throw them in a drawer. I havn't been able to find the first couple of issues in any comic book stores either.
