Sun., Aug. 4: The Looney Tunes Show: "Snow Excuse" (1966) Director: Robert McKimson. Speedy Gonzales, in the frozen winter, runs out of wood for his sifreplace, and must borrow from his neighbor, Daffy Duck, who's not willing to share...There are some pretty good gags in this one, watch for the twist ending!
Wed., Aug. 7:The Bugs & Daffy show: "Road To Andalay"(1964) Directors: Friz Freleng and Hawley Pratt. The second of DePatie-Freleng's post-1964 revival Looney Tunes, this is one of their worst in terms of animation quality but one of the best in terms of gags and charm. Sylvester buys Malcolm the Falcon to try falconry methods on Speedy Gonzales. Includes the memorable "salt on the tail" gags.
Sat., Aug. 17: The Looney Tunes Show: "The Music Mice-Tro" (1967) Director: Rudy Larriva. This cartoon is fun to see once or twice, but its limited budget shows here...and the queasy background colors do not help it. Still, there are some laughs. Daffy Duck is stressed out from working in Hollywood, so he goes to Mexico to take a vacation...but Speedy Gonzales and his mariachi band keep playing loud noise for him, driving the duck crazy. Tex Avery did it first, the "everywhere-you-go-he's-there" concept.
Tue., Aug. 20:The Bugs & Daffy Show : "A-Haunting We Will Go"( 1966) Director: Robert McKimson. A Speedy classic. Daffy Duck's young nephew is afraid to go trick-or-treating because of a house he claims has a witch in residence. Sure enough, it's Witch Hazel, who decides to change someone else into her image so she can take a vacation. She finds Speedy Gonzales, changing him into a Witch, just as Daffy arrives at the door...
Wed., Aug. 28: The Bugs and Daffy Show: "Squeak In The Deep, A" (1966) Director: Robert McKimson. Speedy Gonzales and Daffy Duck enter a boat race from Guadelajara Mexico to Hawaii, with Daffy aboard a raft and Speedy in a bathtub with a sail. Daffy picks on Speedy immediately, but is eventually forced to team up with Speedy. Grudgingly, of course!

Sat., Aug. 31:The Looney Tunes Show: "Speedy Gonzales"( 1955) Director: Friz Freleng. The first true Speedy Gonzales cartoon, and an Academy Award winner. This cartoon still remains one of the best Warner cartoons ever made. The Mexican mice are starving, drooling over the huge cheese factory, which is heavily guarded by Sylvester. If you don't watch any of the other Speedy cartoons, watch this one, you'll love it.
