View Full Version : The Girls of "Blue Crush" Make Me feel Funnny...

I don't think I want to see this Extreme Games type movie, but... I kinda do.

I mean, it's just another Girl Power vehicle where women who're easily just as capable as any man are hounded by idiot muscle men who for some reason insist that "zee leetle guuurrrrllls, couldn't possilby hahndle these mahnly vaves..." or some crap.

Meanwhile a very uncapable pretty boy chases her around like a puppy a eventually she gets him in the end, but not before making all the ape like men eat their words when she does eventually ride the dangerous wave and win the cup.... or whatever.

I don't think I want to see this movie, but.... something about the commercial makes me want to see it. I feel like I'm being controlled like the boys on South Park after they got their first taste of Boobie Power.

Must.... not.... go... see..... movie....

*grits teeth*

Anybody else running into this problem? Think the movie looks stupid, but are strangely drawn to it?

Is it time for someone to sit you down and have "the talk" yet? That's the feeling I'm getting here. :p

Personally my instincts are telling me to avoid this movie like Battlefield Earth, not that I listened to them then... Still, it was a lesion well learned. If your gut is telling you not to go then don't. Or go, suffer, and write a JCO about it. It's your choice.

Well, it'll suck, no doubt... but those are some good looking women. I feel your pain.

I feel ya JC but my prob is I couldn't geta nyone willing to pay that kinda cash to see it to go with me when Goldmember IS in theaters at this very moment, maybe I'll rent the DVD.

The plot seems like she's all out to get respect by riding a big wave, and her friends tag along, including the "tough" girl from Resident Evil. Whom which I have a crush on.

It looks like it sucks, but the girls look hotter. But then again the film isn't R, so there's no chances of seeing anything worth admission prices. I'll pass.

Seems more like a rip-off of Disney's "Rip Girls" movie but less kiddy.

I've watched this movie already several times over, just watch VH1 for a Sheryl Crow video that has alot of scenes with women and men surfing. :p

Bah, I'm disgusted at all the lack of self control in this thread. We have a responsibility to pick our movies and TV series on substance, to ensure programme makers know we need more than a pretty body...

Okay, clearly this is not the case, but you could at least pretend it was... :)

LOL. :p

'Blue Crush' looks ok, and probably won't waste my time or money on watching it. I have a dish, so it probably won't be long before it airs here. The movie looks like it's gonna bomb big time IMO.

Now now, SJJ is right. In fact that's exactly what I was thinking as I was reading the posts before his. We have to get it together. Like the man says, stop GOING to bad movies, and they'll stop MAKING bad movies.....well hopefully anyway. (Jay Sherman, the best film critic in the world).

Wait, tough girl from Resident Evil!? You don't mean Milla Jovovich (The Fifth Element) do you?!? Okay, relaaax, I have a crush on her too but we don't have to let that sway us. Heck I didn't get to see Resident Evil and I'm....pretty okay. Keep it together keep it together....

Besides, from the clips I saw on TV and stuff I don't know WHAT'S going on. One minute she's all, "I have to prove this to myself" and a few clips later she's like, "I have to prove to them that I can do it." :p

Hey, it's not like we're rushing to see "Master of Disguise" or "The Country Bears." And we know we should go see this walking cliche, but.... man, would ya look at that girl on the left!

I mean.... damn!

I'll do what I can and I won't be the one to suggest to go see this, but if someone says, "Hey, let's go check out Blue Crush..." I won't be fighting it.

Johnny Bravo, "I can't help it! I'm a victim of my own over active hormones.." :(

The girl on the left would be my only reason for seeing this movie.
:D

I'm a product of my own Hormones as well, but the best we can hope for is butt shots and the girl on the left doesn't look like she'll be giving them.

The Girl in the front is hot.

P.S. I did see the Country Bears. It was okay.

remember guys...theres always the internet for all your hormone driven needs...and being that I'm low on cash and Simpsons season 2 comes out very soon I'm going to listen to the little voice in my head that has been telling me not to go.

Ugghh ::is about to puke from an overload of girl power movies and tv shows::

I don't know. I saw the trailer in front of Austin Powers, and when I was driving my girlfriend home, I said "You know, I might just go see that Blue Crush movie", and she just sort of smirked knowingly. God bless her.
