Do you think that season 2 should led up to a big event in the season finale like having a surprise villian

In theory, it looks good. It's not until the second season of most animated shows that we get large story arcs with new villians or the "big bad" shows up. However, in the last several Marvel/DC cartoons, we usually know who the major villian is going to be. I do remember, though, that there was no previous mention of the Sentinels, Gambit, or Colossus in X-men: Evo before its finale in May, that was a pleasant surprise.

However, I truly think that there are way too many serious comic book fans that watch Justice League, enough so that no one would really be overly surprised by any villian they hadn't seen on televison before. It would be something like "Ohhh, that was VERY cool," as opposed to "OH MY GAWD :D !!!"

Personally, I like the idea of Justice League to have looser relations to their largely self-contained stories. I am a big fan of the long-term series-length arcs in Spider-Man and Exosquad, but this format makes me focus on the story that's told rather than on its role in the series story. I really don't think the show should go to the "big hidden villian" theme yet. From the small pockets of info I know about Season 2, I don't think WB Animation wants to go there, either.

Later.

Like a new formation of the Legion of Doom. Have like Darkseid & company join forces with some of the most ruthless villians. (Ex. Bane, Lobo, Sinestro, Scarecrow, Doomsday, Ra's Al Ghul, Metallo, etc)
