General Manager Storyline, Bischoff’s WWE Role, Stephanie, More

The idea behind the General Managers storyline is to create a "wrestling war" between RAW and SmackDown, similar to the RAW/Nitro wrestling war of the late 90s. The current plan is for RAW to be the "heel show" with Eric Bischoff attempting to steal away talent from the babyface, Stephanie McMahon, whose gimmick is that she's no longer a slut.
Stephanie McMahon will remain as WWE head writer while being the SmackDown General Manager. Eric Bischoff was apparently signed strictly as an on-screen talent, and has absolutely no power backstage.

Latest On D-X/RAW Tonight, Major Mistake During Vengeance Main Event
Published 07/22/2002 By Ryan Clark
Those on certain networks in Canada could not be too pleased with what happened during last night's Vengeance PPV. About ten minutes before the finish, the satellite apparently went dead and the PPV blanked out. This caused fans to miss the climax of the match, including the Rock pinning Angle to win the title. From what those who experienced the problem are saying, it came back on as The Rock was celebrating his title win. The latest update is that Rogers & Shaw cable are the ones who experienced the satellite error, so anyone who ordered on those networks missed the climax of the main event.
The latest feeling going around backstage is that HHH & HBK will be behaving on RAW with the spirit of the D-X. Right now, it is expected (but not confirmed) that they will harass Bischoff in several segments and be "rule-breakers". There is no confirmation that they will use the name D-X, although don't count the possibility out as WWE.com has even used the term to describe HHH & HBK. There are also some rumors that HHH may end up on Smackdown in the future, but that is yet to be confirmed.
