Static getting a costume change?

I no talking about Cartoon Orbit (http://cartoonorbit.cartoonnetwork.com) isn't kosher in TZ anymore, but I thought this was important enough to ask about. THe latest Kids WB cToon(orbit code: dakota) is a character titled "Static 2.0" who can be seen below:

This got me thinking. Is Static getting a new costume?
Anyone know if he'll actually be getting a new costume or if this is just a special image for Cartoon Orbit?

This costume mirriors the comic version sans the coat, and hat. I'm saying for now it's a C-Toon Special but that design is pretty good and it'd be a waste not to use it so it just might be a fixture for the 3rd Season.

It's true. Thanks for pointing this out, btw, MDawg. This is what the information on the C-Toon says:

"Static decided his old outfit just wasn't cutting it anymore, so he opted for this look instead."

From what I see, a definite improvement. Very, very nice. It's funny, though. When "Static Shock!" was originally announced, he had another costume, as well. Basically, it was just different colors.

I've never seen Static Shock before (no Kids WB in the UK) but I think the costume looks cool. It kinda looks like the Flash from DK2. Simply because of the logo and it is Black.

i liked the old one but this one is tight and fights his Hip style better. i hope another pic of him in this suit comes up.

It could take some getting used to but I think the change could actually make sense - after all it would definetely fit easier into a bookbag or under his clothes than his current suit does.

I think the costume looks good. Eliminate those tiny brown spots on the costume and give his eyegear the same dark look as the costume.

This thread is seriously off topic. Let's get this thread back on topic or it will be closed.

Personally I want to see the new costume animated before I make my final judgement. I think that the new costume could make for a cooler superhero image and might even allow for some darker episodes and shading to be done (much like we saw in The Big Leagues).
