Pearl

Hey y'all, what's up? I'm Pearl... I'm new here... and I'm a character in this Pinky and The Brain story. Author insertion, so sue me. Okay, I'll admit that Pearl isn't my real name, and I'm not an attractive female mouse as the story suggests. But a gal can dream, can't she? ^_~ Oh yeah, one other thing before I start: PLEASE, for the love of all that's good and pure in Oden's beard, don't hate me because I'm a notorious fan femme or because I'm the new kid on the block (not to be confused with a certain 80's boy band). And now, without further ado, may I present:
"Beauty and The Brain"
- A Pinky and The Brain Fanfic by 'Pearl'
PART 1
[Open to Snowball's estate, as seen in "Brain Noir," under a starry night sky. Of the many windows in the mansion, only one of them has a light shining in it, which appears to be supplied by a candle. We pan a little bit towards said window, but then cut to the interior of the room beyond it. The camera pans to a white-painted wall, where we see rodent-shaped shadows flickering with the candle flame. We hear some generic arguing between the two figures, the voices of which seem to be male and female respectively. The male voice sounds all too familiar. At first, we cannot make out their exact words, but then we hear the following dialogue taking place:]
FEMALE VOICE: Why did you do it, Snowball? Why the heck did you have the... the *nerve* to do this to me, to us?
MALE VOICE (SNOWBALL): My darling, don't be upset. Maybe it's better this way.
FEMALE VOICE: What do you mean?! I loved you, you ignorant dolt!
[The shadows suddenly grow and then shrink as the figures walk towards the wall in view of the camera. A blonde-haired white mouse with blue eyes and lipstick, wearing a red little number, is revealed to be the female, with her arms crossed and her face all pouty. Snowball is directly behind her, desperate to make up for what he's done to displease her, but not willing to change what he's done.]
SNOWBALL: Pearl, don't you see? If Billie loves me instead of that nuisance, Brain, she can help me take over the world long before him! She could gain his trust to relate his latest plans to me. She could be bait so that I may finally dispose of his meddling person.
PEARL: (angrily) What's more important to you, the world, or *us*?
SNOWBALL: But, Pearl! If you're still in the picture, Billie might turn her back on me and I'll lose my biggest chance to finally win this wretched game! Then, when the world is mine, I'll get rid of her and once again deliver you my undying devotion.
PEARL: I don't want your "undying devotion" later, Snowball. I want it now! And you still haven't answered my question-- the world, or me? Which is more important to you?
SNOWBALL: (a bit fidgety and unsure) Um... well...
PEARL: (frowning) This isn't exactly a trick question, Snowy.
[Snowball is now quite afraid of blowing it with Pearl. One wrong move, and he knows they're done, no questions asked. He is then struck with an idea as a cassanova expression crosses his furry face. He speaks in a persuasive tone:]
SNOWBALL: Pearl... dearest... I am simply doing this for our happiness. I know this plan does not appeal to you, but in the end, it will be worth it. We will rule the world together, happily. People will worship us. Don't you want to be happy with me, darling? Think of how much power we'll have over the miserable humans.
PEARL: (sternly) Power is all very well and good, Snowball, but power cannot give you love. Forced and farced love, maybe, but it's all a lie. You're right by calling this world domination bit a game. It's all pretend, a huge lie. It's such a *game* that it makes "Risk" look like "CandyLand." [Close-up of Pearl's glaring face.]
PEARL: (darkly) If you honestly believe that making humans bow to your every sick whim will make me happy, you're a *fool.* And using my cousin Billie like this isn't helping you any further. I'm leaving you, Snowball. Goodbye! [She jumps down from the table they were standing on to the floor.] The world is your mistress. I'll leave you to her!
[Pearl stomps out through the door and slams it behind her. Snowball is left looking after her; disbelieving, and visibly upset. He frowns as he sighs heavily, knowing he'll never see her again.]
SNOWBALL: Well... at least I'll have the world to myself.
[Cut to outside, at the front gates of Snowball's estate. Pearl is running towards these gates, but then pauses to look over her shoulder. She stares sadly, almost regretfully, at the lighted window. A few moments later, the light goes out. Pearl sighs to herself, wipes tears from her eyes, and crawls under the gate to the freedom beyond. She weeps as she walks down the sidewalk away from what was once her home, and as she does so, the camera slowly pans up to the night sky before fading to black.]
((Next part comes tomorrow morning. Don't worry, there will be participation once I've laid down the second part.))
