Read about it at the CCF Board. (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41303)

Well, I'm not so sure if this award is a pre-ceremony award like Animated Program or not.

How exciting! I'm quite thrilled by this, I wonder how it'll do in Septmeber when the awards are handed out, though. But it's still quite an honor to even have a nomination, so I won't really be upset if they don't win.
And how splendid that we'll actually get to see it!

It's great it was nominated, but it was nominated only for the theme song, not for best animated program.

Ermmm... there's more to it than just the theme song. It said Outstanding Title Theme, which includes the sequence, and the way it's directed, that the song accompanies.
Besides the song (which rocks, BTW), there's the photography of the characters (e.g. the Magnificient Seven approach where the characters in sihouettes walk towards the screen). There's also the way the characters are introduced individually: Batman throwing his batterang, Diana deflecting projectiles using her bracelets, GL energizing his ring against a prominently green-colored background, Superman punching through walls, J'onn morphing from a dragon to human, etc. It's very slick and it tells you a lot about these characters even if you know little about them.
And people were criticizing about it when JL first aired last year.

I'm still happy JL got nominated for Outstanding Title Theme, but would've been more cool if JL got Best Animated Program. Well beggers can't be chosers. I'm happy for JL congrats and I hope it wins. Maybe next year our dear JL will grab a nom of Best Animated Program. :D

Even though it was only for the song the song is still a part of the show and therefore CONGRATS on the Emmy JL but it's good to mention where credit is due and that song ROCKS!

Ah, I guess that was just me being ignorant. Sorry about that. When I saw the list, it included what I thought was the composer of the song, so I just figured the theme song was what was nominated.
Do not get me wrong, I am glad that "Justice League" was nominated - if only for the Title Theme. I would have perferred that it was nominated for Outstanding Animated Program as well, but the introduction is nicely done and it does deserve to be nominated.

Will the award for Outstanding Animated Program be given DURING the awards? If it's going to be a pre-award like it has been in the past, I'm boycotting the Emmys.

I've been boycotting the Emmys my whole life. Any awards show, for that matter. :D

Well, I don't boycott the Oscars anymore. Now that they have some kind of award for animation.

Actually, Vincent, you're right. I was a little mistaken there. The 54th Emmy Awards (http://www.emmys.com/primetime/2002/2002awardsarts.html) website stated theme music only. But how the theme is used in the opening seqence is what got it nominated.
Voting for the winner is another thing entirely. :(
