Here's what happened today on Acme...
1. "Fresh Fish" (one-shot, WB, BR w/o credits, dubbed)
2. "Billy Boy" (MGM, officially a one-shot, but including the Wolf from the Droopy cartoons)
3. "Greetings, Bait" (one-shot, WB, BR w/o credits, dubbed)
4. "Barking Dogs Don't Fite" (Popeye, Paramount)
5. "The Dot And The Line" (one-shot, MGM)
6. "I Only Have Eyes For You" (one-shot, WB, BR w/o credits, dubbed)
Moral of today's show..."...to the vector belong the spoils".
:p

As hips said, "To the vector, belong the spoils". It'll be up to the judges to render their verdict.
Oh, that's pretty cool, I didn't think it would work, but the threads all merged together. BTW, you can see who posted first because I'm pretty sure the merg thingy said it would put the posts in the order they were posted, settling everything...
Also, I think it's neat they are showing the color remakes of the Fletcher B&W cartoons rather than the redrawns. Even if the remakes don't always pack the same punch as the original, they are better than redrawns...

Well, I guess they ran out of Haraway/Dalton cartoons. The streak is over! I'm glad that CN is getting tired of early MGM's. Now if they will only retire sc**by d**.
Misc. Notes and Ramblings:
I love the Hick Wolf from Billy Boy. Y'hear hear hear hear hear?
Dot and Line was a much better cartoon than Chuck Jones T&J's. If only they made more original cartoons than T&J's...
Too many BR's! The guy who invented them should be tortured! Arrrg! At least they'll go by the wayside when the DVD comes out (yeah, right)
Question: When the LT/MM DVD comes out, will the re-remastered versions appear on CN? Will those ugly Dubbed version titles finally go by the wayside?

Nobody knows how other mid-60s MGM one-shots would have turned out if they were made. My favorite MGM cartoon is The Dot and the Line, but I hate The Bear That Wasn't, because of annoying ideas and annoying music.
I would never get tired of watching The Dot and the Line!
That Billy Boy cartoon seems to be very popular at this forum, but I find the repetition of the speech very annoying.
The word "fite" is probably a combination of "fight" and "bite".
