This is my favourite issue of Gotham Adventures, so I thought why not see other opinions. To me, this is one of my single most favourite comics, and possibly the best Catwoman story I've ever seen or read. A masterpiece. This really shows the character of Selina in a nutshell..how she wants to do right...but her "right" is different from Batman's, which is why she will never truly be able to have something with him. When she talks about her heart breaking, two times, I feel mine break in the same way it broke the first time I watched Heart of Ice.
Story aside, the art is wonderful. I am an avid Burchett fan, and this is why. Dynamic poses, open borders which use the page vividly and suit the story so well. The facial expressions are so simple and brilliant, especially when her heart is broken. Selinas look on her face at the end, and Batman's unwavering, stern expression. It captures the moment so well, I can almost hear a score playing in the background. And her anger and rage are captured just as well.
Anyone who has any doubts or quips with the character of Selina Kyle/Catwoman and her relationship with Batman should read this issue! :)
