This is my favourite issue of Gotham Adventures, so I thought why not see other opinions. To me, this is one of my single most favourite comics, and possibly the best Catwoman story I've ever seen or read. A masterpiece. This really shows the character of Selina in a nutshell..how she wants to do right...but her "right" is different from Batman's, which is why she will never truly be able to have something with him. When she talks about her heart breaking, two times, I feel mine break in the same way it broke the first time I watched Heart of Ice.

Story aside, the art is wonderful. I am an avid Burchett fan, and this is why. Dynamic poses, open borders which use the page vividly and suit the story so well. The facial expressions are so simple and brilliant, especially when her heart is broken. Selinas look on her face at the end, and Batman's unwavering, stern expression. It captures the moment so well, I can almost hear a score playing in the background. And her anger and rage are captured just as well.

Anyone who has any doubts or quips with the character of Selina Kyle/Catwoman and her relationship with Batman should read this issue! :)

Actually, I thought the art in thisissue was the weakest compared to the previous three issues, and the next. Then again, the coloring was a bit subpar. But this was a very, very good issue. See - this is what Gotham Adventures should be! This issue partially exlained the change for Selina Between B:TAS and TNBA. Now why can't we get something like this for the current issues? Explain more about that gap of time between B:TAS and TNBA. THis was an issue that progressed the characters. This is something that Jason Hall just did as well. We should be seeing more of this.

Anyways, I always wanted a follow up on this issue. I wanted to know what happened to the woman Catwoman kidnapped. Did she get rid of the scars. Is she completely bankrupt? Is the woman still pursuing her?

I also thought that issue was terrific. I loved the Lost years tales for the characters that dramatically changed between BTAS and TNBA...and this was one of them?

That, and I have a certain affection for this issue, because it was the first issue I wrote in for where my fan-mail was actually published! (See BGA#7, if you care, that is. :)

Yay!

Hey Ty, wanna come back to BGA for a few issues? Huh huh huh huh huh?
