Starting Monday, August 27:
Monday-Friday: (everything not mentioned stays the same)
2:00PM-2:30PM=Tom & Jerry
2:30PM-3:30PM=Bugs & Daffy
Acme Hour will only have one time slot on weekdays, being from 1:00AM to 2:00AM. Of course, knowing Cargoon Networm, don't expect anything rare.

Monday (Sunday night) Toonheads will still be repeats.:(
September 3: Director Robert McKimson
September 10: Our Man Sam
September 17: The Musical Cartoons of Friz Freleng
September 24: Night of a Thousand Elves
October 1: One Toon Wonders

You already know the Sunday schedule, including the trash known as "Adult Swim".

Aren't we being a little hasty here? I mean, I hate the "Cartoon Cartoons" as much as the next guy, but from everything I've read (and seen), this seems different. And even if it's not, shouldn't you at least wait until it debuts to trash it? Not only am I looking forward to the block, I think if it's a success there might be a chance CN will feel confident enough to show some rare WB and MGM cartoons there. Not the Censored Eleven, but maybe some wartime cartoons we can't see anymore, and stuff of that nature.

Give it time, Steve!

I think this is as bad as Cartoon Cartoons. 10pm-11pm on Sundays used to be (and still is) classics. It will now become new shows. That is a backwards step. If Adult Swim is a success with the new shows, they will have no intention to show rare classics. If Adult Swim gets low ratings, they might have no choice but to show classics. And yes, even "One Froggy Evening" would be better than new shows.

You can't get much better than that cartoon, if you ask me. Besides, the point is that one can't judge the "Adult Swim" until we see it. We don't even know what all of the shows on it are going to be! So chill out, relax, and watch before you dis it.

My point was that even an overplayed cartoon would be better than what will be on. I am sick of any new shows, outside the (very) few that I like.

Why should I like Adult Swim? I'm not an adult!:p

Maybe you guys would like it, if you are adults.

Actually:
You can find out here: http://www.angelfire.com/tv2/adultswim .

And if you don't feel like searching through all the text and staring at the bright red background, here is the adult swim schedule. It might be a disappointment to those who were hoping for classic cartoons.

10:00- Home Movies
10:30- The Brak Show
11:00 to 12:00- Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, Sealab 2021, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and Space Ghost Coast to Coast interspersed in different orders.
12:00- Cowboy Bebop

My opinion (though not the prevailing here) had been that classic cartoons, p.i. or not, would seem out of place alongside things like The Brak Show, Sealab 2021, etc. But I could say the same about Cowboy Bebop.

I still am very excited about Adult Swim, but I'm disappointed about a couple things. It would be a great opportunity to begin a new season of Toonheads, possibly more daring. But it seems like that's not going to be the case. All the episodes slated to air in Sept. have aired already in the past three months. I've got a few other issues, but they're hardly W.B. related.

Hmm. Judging from the lineup, it looks like CN is dusting off more late '60s/'70s Hanna Barbera properties and giving them the wise-ass "Space Ghost Coast to Coast" treatment.

I'm NOT impressed...and I don't think you really have to see this stuff in order to dis it!

Well, I actually like it when CN gives its late 60s/early 70s HB cartoons the wise-ass "Space Ghost" treatment, and I think SGC2C is the best original series CN has done (soooo much better than any of the Cartoon Cartoons). But I know my opinion on this matter isn't one shared by the majority of TTTP posters.

I've seen all of the Williams St. stuff (everything but Home Movies and Cowboy Bebop), a few episodes of Sealab and the others (except SGC2C which was already on) were shown during very early hours in Dec. when I was fortunate enough to be awake. If you like the surreal sense of humor of SGC2C, I think you'll like the rest of the stuff. I haven't seen Home Movies, but am a Dr. Katz fan (though Comedy Central got rid of it too soon for me to see many of them) so I think I'll like that.

Just because it's not a classic cartoon doesn't mean it won't be amusing. Give the stuff a chance. I am really looking forward to this stuff, and this should help show CN that there is a market for adults, which (combined with good ratings from the Wartime special) could help us see some more classic stuff.

I am slightly annoyed that LNB&W will be even later.

Are some of you guys trying to be annoyed by this stuff? At least watch it before you start complaining. How can you say that what will be on will be worse than an overplayed cartoon when you haven't seen it yet?!? It kind of makes others think less of your opinion when you already have decided what it will be before you even know what you're talking about. Besides, it's only 2 nights a week, it's not like it's going to be Scooby Doo or a Cartoon Cartoon. If you want to complain about something, complain about that stuff. I like Dexter, but with no new eps., I can't watch it anymore, too much repetition.

In December 2000, LNB&W was 2am-3am. This will still be earlier than that.

Hi Guys!

I've been lurking for a couple of months now, really enjoying the board, so I thought it was time to emerge, and leap to the defense of Home Movies at the same time...

Here in the UK, the first thirteen episodes have been screening since May, first weekends and now running daily (getting repeats every two weeks is not ideal but hey...). It seems to be doing wonderfully and justifiably so.

At first glance, the animation may looked slightly lame and uninviting, but when I actually made the effort to sit down and pay attention, the wonderful script and rounded characters quickly emerged. The show sounds so adlibbed and fresh, and i've found that the (very) limited animation a la 'Dr Katz' actually compliments the deadpan delivery and makes it very believable.

I'm frequently laughing out loud at it, and i've also caught my non cartoon obsessed housemates LOL too! There is no other show I know that would feature an episode about eight year olds making a rock opera movie based on the life of Franz Kafka!

Please give this show a chance; as others have said, slating it before it airs is not fair. I'm sure you will like it too, even just for the wonderful vocal performances. (I'm not to sure the new flash rendering technique they have planned for future eps as opposed to the current squigglevision is a good plan, but I'll wait and see)

I agree that more classic toons should be shown too, but this kind of show and Samurai Jack keeps CN alive and exciting and will attract new viewers, who will hopefully stumble across a Bob Clampett masterpiece or two along the way...

Sorry for the ramblings, just thought the show needed some positive buzz for a change!!!

All the Best and thanks to all for making this place so welcoming!

Welcome to the board Jaime!

Thanks for the quick review, I don't think I even heard of Home Movies when it was on UPN here in the States. It sounds kind of like how I'd imagine it, I'm definitely looking forward to it. I haven't seen Dr. Katz in a while, this will hopefully be the next best thing.

I really like Squigglevision, but I'll have to wait and see how the Flash works out.

Shows like this are going to really help cut down on Cartoon Cartoons and Scooby, hopefully there will be a nice balance between the classics, Adult Swim, Cartoon Cartoons, Toonami and all the other cartoons in the near future.

Amen! I like Scooby-Doo, and many of the Cartoon Cartoons, but their is a severe lack of balance right now. Every Scooby series (excluding the much-maligned 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo) has its' own timeslot, which is a bit much (esp. considering how the New Scooby Movies are edited for time, and The Scooby-Doo Show features a number of digitally sped-up episodes). After this new block premeires, I'd like to see a weekly slot for Thundarr, as well as some other misc. shows CN has rights to, and all would be pretty much well (outside of the whole editing thing).

I don't even want the Bugs special if it doesn't include any full cartoons.

Wasn't it going to have a few full toons, like The Wartime Cartoons? Or was that info ever released? Even if it didn't, it would be a great thing for it to air, the ratings for it would show CN the support for censored cartoons in general and might help convince them to show them all in full. Besides, it would be interesting too. Wouldn't you like to learn stuff about them even if you couldn't see them?
