I am currently writing a paper on violence in video games, and I need to know (don't ask why) where Rockstar Games and it's parent company, Take-Two Interavte, is located. I always thought they were European, but I'm not quite sure, and their website doesn't help. One other question: was GTA3 released in Japan?

Rockstar Studios is based out of Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland. Take-Two is out of New York. GTA3 has not and very likely will not be released in Japan. Gamespot (http://gamespot.com/gamespot/features/all/gamespotting/062802/p2_01.html) has an article (http://gamespot.com/gamespot/features/all/gamespotting/062802/p2_01.html) discussing why they feel GTA3 won't ever cross over into those shores...
