The Price Wars Continue... Good for us...

I heard that CNN had a report around 10 am to 11 am that the X-Box going to lower their price to $150 soon...

So what do you think about this... I say let the Price War continue...

By next year it'll be $100 GCN, $130 PS2 & X-Box if the XBox lowers their prices even more...

I really, really hope they don't. Continued price drops on hardware could lead to the same thign on software, which could potentially be very dangerous for the industry. Obviously, if Microsoft lowers their price on the XBox, Gamecube is gonna have a tough time (as if it wasn't already), which doesn't please me. I honestly liked the current price scheme and thought it would allow all three systems to coexist comfortably... and I'm becoming more afraid that they won't.

Sounds like a rumor. Xbox already dropped their price to $200. Why would they drop again so soon? Right now they're already losing a bunch of money on that price drop alone.

But despite the $750 million they lost, they still made a large amount of money, somewhere around the billions. Not too shabby...

Just because it is on CNN does not mean it is reliable. Trust me on this one.

I don't even believe that report exists. Is there a link to a report or anything? I can't remember CNN doing any Xbox reports since it came out.

Even if the rumor is true, more continual price drops will appeal to the costumers even more. I'm not going to buy them just yet. (That and the fact that I had to spend all of my money on fixing my computer.)

I'm just glad there is a software price drop by Sony(first-party PS2 games). All future games published by them will be $39. I'm just hoping that X-Box and Gamecube take the hint and drop their first-party games to $40.

Another price drop would be nice for gamers on a budget, but I don't see it happening anytime soon. It just doesn't make much sense for them to drop the price now. Look to Christmas time, or possibly next E3, if you're waiting for another price drop.

Well, when i get my ps2 /w Network adapter, I would really like Tribes 2 to be 40 dollars :), and the PS2 $150.00, but I doubt that'll happen.
