I never did like poptarts, what with their hard casing and pseudo-icing that never melts. They remind me of food rations.

i like the icing.

Jack
08-12-2001, 07:09 PM
I would always take the crust, smash it to crumbs, split the Pop Tart open, and sprinkle the crumbs over the exposed Cinnamon on both sides.

It tastes better that way, just like Snickers bars taste better with the peanuts and white fluffy stuff separate...

Yeah, I really don't eat pop-tarts either. Most of the time I just go for cereal, but a 'tart will do in a pinch as a quick breakfast when you don't have much time to get to a school/job in the morning...

The innards of the poptart taste too sweet and too strong.

According to this webpage, Strawberry Pop Tarts burst into flames when over-cooked.

I haven't had pop tarts for years, but if I were to get some now, I'd buy the Powerpuff Girls pop tarts. I saw a commercial for them and was sold.

For breakfast, I have this breakfast wrap I like to make, with two sausages, two eggs, and a handful of hashbrowns. Then you put shredded cheddar on the mix and put it all in a wrap and you can top it off with salsa, but I've been using ranch dressing lately, with bacon and tomato in it. Best meal ever.

That's OK. I like 'em better when they're cold. (I keep them in the fridge when I have them around.) They're more like a dessert that way.

I do that too, but the only one that taste right after that is the cinnamon.

Ng....I never put them in the fridge, just tastes too wierd in my opinion...I would simply take one from the package if I do not want a toasted pop-tart...

Actually, I don't really eat Pop Tarts anymore. Nutri-Grain bars have taken their place as my quick breakfast/snack food of choice. I'm addicted to fruit bars now, and I'm even trying to eat one while typing this message.

Do not eat them, they will get you addicted!

When I do eat pop tarts, I eat them cold, also. But I am also a fan of the fruit bars. I don't have time to make my favorite breakfast except on the weekends, and perhaps for dinner now and then, so I gotta have something out of a box that's easy and good. There is also a new Chex Mix called Morning Mix or something like that, with chex cereal and fruit. Quite tasty, but a pouch isn't very filling, I'm afraid.

What do you mean by cereal bars? There are cereal bars I have eaten that are like soft and good, then there are these cereal bars that are like harder and just not as good. They make you too thirsty. They have a filling in the middle that is SUPPOSED to be like milk but I just don't care for them.

BourgeoisBuffoon
08-14-2001, 09:46 PM
Oh....the hard "milk" filled bars are the ones I like!:)
But any cereal bar I've eaten is usually quite good. Still, they cannot compare to the actual bowl of cereal...geez....I wish I had a bowl of cereal right now...I'm addicted to Frosted Flakes for the time being...

Calhoun07

I tried a Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal bar... Ick ick ick.... The solid milk-substitute... 1, 2 bites and buh bye

Fave Pop Tarts... Been a looooooooooong time since I had any but I like S'mores and Chocolate Fudge. Never tried other kinds tho'.

Mostly I have cereal for breakfast- making an extra effort to have Cheerios every morning as of late. Sometimes have eggs with it too. Glass of skim milk and orange juice (the latter usually jettisioned during sugary breakfasts)

I like a bunch of other cereals(monster cereals, Lucky Charms, Toast Crunch's, Pokemon, the late great TMNT, All Bran, Rice Krispies treats...), instant oatmeal w/ brown sugar, plain pancakes w/ or w/o syrup, french toast, cream of wheat, chocolate and glazed donuts... But not a common occurence by any means.
