I voted for Have You got any Castles. I don't know what, but there is something I like about that cartoon.

OK
So I voted for "Speaking of the weather".
I really like all of them but theres something about SOTW.
The only one I have a little problem with is "Sniffles and the bookworm",I think it has got to be Sniffles weakest toon :(

I voted for "Have You Got Any Castles?" While it may not have the star power and frantic action of "Book Revue", it is nonetheless in my opinion the best of the "books come to Life" cartoons. I'd like to see it in its original form with the Alexander Alcott intro and the original ending.

It goes without saying... "Book Revue." Not only is it one of the best come-to-life cartoons, it is one of the best cartoons ever made. Bob Clampett and Rod Scribner really pulled all the stops for this one.

This one is a gimmee...it's gotta be Book Revue!

Good timing, too...it was shown in its entirety on Bob Clampett. For further expanded and updated reference, check out the Animaniacs' tribute to that cartoon, called Video Revue. It's also a good laugher!

It's not really a good idea to say that, since it had fake opening and closing titles, not to mention a misspelled title. So some original ideas were missing.

Well, being that CN would have had to borrow a NITRATE print of Book Revue (with original open/close) from UCLA, transfer it to DV, and then put it on the air (the preceeding would have been very time-consuming and expensive just for a low-res TV show)

Trust me, you wouldn't want to handle a nitrate print without wearing bomb squad-type protection.

Still, I dunno why CN couldn't have simply re-created the openings like The Hep Cat. They do seem to have some powerful image editing software...

I actually don't love Daffy Kaye's little segment. It is not simply the best. How it got a majority vote is beyond me.

Didn't the Bob Clampett Show version of "The Hep Cat" have a computer colorized Looney Tune opening put before the Blue Ribbon titles? It looked very strange, and I think they would have used different titles for the first color Looney Tune, perhaps the Merrie Melodies rings for that year with the LT name, or even something completely different that is now lost (until they restore the original print). I'm guessing you want them to make new cards and re-score the opening?

The opening titles for "The Hep Cat" are probably the same as the one for Norm McCabe's "The Daffy Duckaroo," only with orange rings in place of the B&W, but with a slightly larger WB shield than was used later in the 1942-43 release season. As far as the title card and credits, that will have to wait for a full restoration.
