I was wonder what people would think of Marvel's version of Crisis? I don't think I would be a fan of this because the Ultimate universe would have the same problem as the 616 universe. The 616 universe problem is too many titles.

That is something I dont want to see at all. I have less than zero interest in the Ultimate universe now (I'd much rather read about the 'real' versions of the characters than these 'reimaginings'), so merging the two together somehow would drive me from Marvel totally. Not that I read alot of Marvel currently...

Howdy,
I don't think Ultimatizing the Marvel Universe would be the worst thing in the world. We'd still be able to read the original stories whenever we wanted to (assuming, of course, that Marvel reprinted them in affordable packages =8^), and the Marvel Bullpen would be able to stop worrying about the Continuity Cops (of whom I'd probably include myself) and start telling good stories again. It would also let us forget about things we'd rather forget about (the Spider-Man Clone Saga, the continuity/storytime nightmare that is the X-Men, and Secret Wars greater than 1 to pick three examples). The dead could live again (Gwen Stacy, Piotr Rasputin/Colossus), and bad ideas that should have never happened could have, um, never happened =8^).
I also thought that one of the greatest Pre-Crisis Superman stories was "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow," where Alan Moore was completely unfettered by consequences and continuity. I think some of those stories would be interesting (and which drove the decision to do those "The End" stories).
I'd also say the current Hulk storyline can be turned into an Ultimate title ('cept for the appearance of Doc Samson) without much difficulty. Personally, I think Bruce Jones' back-to-basics approach has been hugely successful so far, and I think he could do even more without the fetters of past continuity to consider.

But if they did that many of the stories and characters that have just appeared would go bye bye. I say marvel just stays where it is, but you know if Marvel were to have it's on Crisis you know that some of the Ultimate characters would be kissing the bullet too.
Likes ay Ultimate wolverien versus 616 Wolvie... 616 Wolvie would win in a second due to all that he's been through, meaning a great character (Ultimate wolvie) is dead. Just stick to the plan and follow the road your already on Marvel.
Besides it wouldn't just be Ultimate on the line, The Marvel Knights Universe would have to participate too.
