I mini update on X-men 2

[Storm]

My friend e-mail me this today (some of this news you might already know):

> The characters of Kitty Pryde, Pyro, Bobby (Iceman) will have a much bigger role in the sequel, and we'll get to see them using their powers (in battle!).

> Rogue's role is smaller than in the last film. Current ideas are that she will mostly be seen w/ the other 'Junior' X-Men. They DO get their own versions of uniforms, although they're not as 'professional' looking as the advance X-Men.

> Telling by the shooting dates and story boards Halle Berry will get much more screen time as Ororo Munro, than in the previous film. She will also take flight a couple times.

> They do not start shooting the 'Nightcrawler' scenes
until early August. Nightcrawler will not have an X-Men uniform for most of the film.

> There are cameos set for the characters of: Angel, Gambit, Colossus, and possibly Jubilee but she has yet to be cast. Out of all four cameos, Colossus will have the most screen time.

One last thing...The X-Men Special

> Edition DVD is due out earlier than we thought it would be. FOX wants it out in time for the Holiday Season of this year. Expect some previews of X2, including the logo trailer, and behind the scenes footage".

Nice job on the news. But a similar yet sarcastic pat on the back to FOX, cuz I already have the original (yet really good) X-Men movie DVD. They shoulda thought of the special edition thing before they released that first one so quick! Money grubbing jerks! :p

Nice news on X-Men 2, I guess I'll wait to buy the SE DVD of X-Men since I don't have the plain X-Men DVD.

Unfortunately later on, they'll be releasing another SE X-Men or some other version packed in a box set with X-Men 2 and such.

Cool news. Ill definately pick the X-men special edition DVD up for christmas then.Im happy Halle will have more to do as storm in X2. I hope the same goes for James and Famke as Cyke and Jean. I cant wait to see alan Cumming as Kurt in the movie and Bobby will see some action.

Also, Sabretooth and The Toad will not be in the sequel, not even for a cameo. They may be able to return in a future sequel, but FOX decided to save $500,000 - $1,000,000 and decide not to include them.

Ditto. I'm glad that Halle is getting more screen time as Storm. Storm is my favorite female X-man. I also hope the Cyclops and Jean get more screentime.
