I saw these recently at Toys R Us. They are very cool! They were selling for $8.99 each, I believe:

Unfortunately, the Toys R Us I was at had no Popeye figures left!! Just Bluto, Olive, and Wimpy. And the only Bluto figure had been opened.

Hey! Those are awesome! I didn't think Popeye was merchandised much anymore, let alone the classic designs with Bluto being called Bluto and not "Brutus". I like the character Bluto, I may just have to keep an eye out for that action figure...I don't really play with toys much, but that would be cool to put on my bookshelf or desk!

I like the figures a lot, these will be collectors items in the future.

I just recently realized that CVS (a pharmacy chain in the Northeast) was selling various Popeye keychains and plush toys. Most are sold out, but I've still seen Olive and Bluto ones around. I hear that they sold out quickly. I guess they did that as a follow-up to the Bullwinkle and Island of Misfit Toys merchandise. Maybe they ordered fewer of the Popeye stuff since some of the Bullwinkle/Misfit stuff hung around the store forever.

Look at the keyrings on this page to see what the merchandise looked like (you need to scroll down a bit)

The set included Popeye, Olive, Swee' Pea, Bluto, Wimpy, and Eugene the Jeep. Eugene seems to have been very popular.

Jon, the comic shop I go to usually has those figures for the same price! I was thinking of mentioning them, but I forgot about them. He has ALL five and NONE are open! At first, I thought he was saving them for someone, but I asked and he said no! Hmm, guess what I'm going to do with the money I make mowing lawns.......:)

The CVS stores in my area had those Popeye bean bags around Thanksgiving last year. They got marked down pretty quick. I got the every character in the set for only 99 cents each.

The CVS stores *did* have a ton of Rocky & Bullwinkle stuff that was around forever. The stores around here had boxes of them left, and it got to the point where they marked down the R&B bean bags to 50 cents (!) each (which made me a little unhappy --- I paid the full price for a few of 'em  ).
