anyone seen the Kibbles-n-Bits ad w/ "familiar" characters?

Haven't been here in forever, but I just saw a tv commercial that made me want to drop by.

Has anyone else seen these Kibbles-N-Bits dog-food commercials involving a tough-sounding bulldog named Spike and his yapping companion? Although they're live action, it's awfully reminiscent of Spike and Buster from the old Sylvester cartoon/Daffy Duck's Fantatic Island.

Also, I may have imagined it, but wasn't the bulldog wearing a red sweater ala the LT Spike?

Actually, Spike's companion's name is Chester.
