Has CN ever shown an cartoon letterboxed from start to finish?

So far, the only cartoon I've seen in widescreen is...Blooper Bunny! (Although this is probably "fake" widescreen)

The pan & scanned versions really look awful...

:)

I don't know about CN, but back when TNT played cartoons, I remember they did it once.

They aired the widescreen version of "Tom's Photo Finish". They even ran a little message at the bottom of the screen saying it being a special treat! That's the only time I know of that they ever did that!

I think Turner Classic Movies will from time to time show letterboxed widescreen cartoons. They just look so darn classy when they're shown that way. (Any letterboxed film does. Especially when you're watching them on one of those new 16x9 tv sets that automatically expands the picture area to fit the screen.)

TCM makes a practice of showing anything shot in widescreen format letterboxed. Everytime I have seen cartoons shot in widescreen on TCM, they have letterboxed. Incidentally, TCM ran Good Will To Men in March as part of their 31 Days of Oscar format and it was letterboxed. I don't remember when (if ever) I've seen that one on Cartoon Network. They ran The Little Orphan too (But it was edited *sigh*)

Which is why they're waaaaay better than AMC...:p

Honestly, when that "One Reel Wonders" title comes on, I take notice, for
what follows very easily could be a TOON!

(Unless of course, my rather-philistine mother has the remote... )

They also showed "Blitz Wolf" in March, but they edited it too.
