OK, in one of the BTAS episodes I watched a long time ago, I could've sworn I heard someone call the Joker Jack Napier. It was something like "Jack Napier, Harvey Dent, Pamela Isley; or the Joker, Two-Face and Poison Ivy". I think the main guy in Arkham (Dr. Bartholomew) said it.

So can anyone actually tell me if this is true? And if so, what episode was it in (I thought it was in the one about Joker breaking out of Arkham & going to the casino; the name escapes me)?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Dreams In Darkness was the episode. Welcome to the boards! :)

your talking about dreams in darkness. the speech your referring to is where the doctor is running down all the alter egos of the villians in an attempt to show batman how delusional he's become..wrapped up in his own little world with these insane criminals..it's basically another scarecrow fear toxin plot. batman gets infected and crashes the batmobile after hallucinating, thinking he sees robin on the road...he's brought into arkham while babbling on about his hallucinations and gets locked into a cell while the scarecrow carries out his scheme..naturally batman has to find a means of escape and foil the scarecrow.

DREAMS IN DARKNESS was the first one. The other episode you mentioned, where the Joker breaks out in a rage over how a casino is using his image, is called JOKER'S WILD. Oddly enough, that's the only other episode in all of BTAS where the name "Jack Napier" is mentioned, too. :)

But then, all that was sort of diffused in "Beware the Creeper" when Jack Ryder explained that the pre-Joker used a variety of aliases, sort of reverting The Joker back to his comic book self in which much of his past up to "the fall" is still a mystery or subject to debate.
