I recieved a worm virus via email, and it has been forwarding itself to various people on my email list, so if you recieved this message:
____________________________________-
"Hi! How are you?

I send you this file in order to have your advice

See you later. Thanks"
____________________
Do NOT open its attachment!
Just delete it. I have removed the virus from my computer, but in case you recieved that message it is a good idea to go to THIS WEBSITE (http://cbc.ca/news/indepth/background/sircam_worm.html) ,
http://cbc.ca/news/indepth/background/sircam_worm.html,
and dowload the removal program. It only takes a few minutes and you will be clear of any problems caused by it. Sorry for the trouble, please don't think it was me who sent the virus initially, it sends itself and I was lucky to have someone who got it tell me what it was.

I've gotten this virus at least 50 times in the past week (not from you though). I don't understand why anyone would open an attachment in an e-mail from someone they don't know.

Well, it's a from a person that you probably know, since you are on their e-mail list. But you really need to be careful about opening files from e-mail unless you know for sure what it is. The message accompanying this worm is very vague, and doesn't give any clue about what the file contains. In cases like this, always at least check with the person to be sure that the file wasn't sent automatically by a virus.
