After nearly losing his WWE Undisputed Championship in a Ladder Match to Jeff Hardy on RAW, the Undertaker barely escaped another loss on SmackDown! when he narrowly defeated your Olympic hero Kurt Angle. All of this leads us to tonight on RAW, and you would have to imagine that Big Evil is not going to be in the best of moods. What will Taker's next move be, considering that he's slated to defend his title against The Rock at Vengeance on July 21 on Pay-Per-View? Find out tonight on RAW!

Also last week, Shawn Michaels dropped a bombshell when he announced that Triple H is the newest member of the nWo. Will The Game join his friends and create the strongest faction in the history of the business, or does HBK just have a strong case of wishful thinking? Hopefully, we'll find out more on this tonight on TNN!

Chris Benoit returns to singles action when he goes one-on-one with Bubba Ray Dudley. William Regal will also defend his European Championship against Jeff Hardy.

You can't miss RAW, tonight at 9/8 CT on TNN, live from the First Union Center in Philadelphia!

Great Show, hate that the nwo came out on top at the end though. Looks like weeks of sucking has amde them strive to be better.

And yeah the Van Terminator made this show one of the best.

The Good:

-The main event. As you all probably know, I like big feuds involving tons of wrestlers, which was the case tonight. Hopefully this is more than just a one week thing.

-Regal crying. LoL!!!!! That was hilarious, something we've never seen from Regal before.

-No Vince acting like an idiot. Vince is great as the big bad owner. Using him for other purposes fails utterly. Glad to see we didn't have yet another night with him acting like a fool, having every woman in the company stripping in his office, etc...

-The classic Rock flashbacks.

-Glad to see that they ended the Hardy vs. Undertaker fued with last week, atleast as far as I can tell. That was a appropriate ending to it last week, and to go any further is completely unnecessary. Have the both of them move on.

The Bad:

-Why is the Rock in the main event at the next PPV? This makes no sense whatsoever. I know the Rock is the main guy in the company, but to throw him in the main event despite having no storyline whatsoever with the Undertaker and or Angle is ridiculous. How does this settle the Undertaker vs. Angle thing from last week's Smackdown? It makes no sense whatsoever. Title shots should be the result of a feud between the wrestlers, or a big event like Royal Rumble. They shouldn't be thrown out as flimsy as this.

-Yawn, everything involving the women in the company is silly fueds derived from name calling. The ultimate in laziness. "You're jealous of me! Even though I don't have any reasonable reasons why. Blah!". Give me a break. This is what they've settled on giving us now?!?!?

-Flair vs. Steven Richards? How boring can you get? Is Flair so degraded now in the business that they have him competing against a guy that shouldn't even be on the roster?

Grade for the show: B-

A couple of things...

1) I hate chick matches. He them wrestle with real plotlines or get rid of them completely.

2) Is Kevin Nash really hurt? I'm guessing no, considering the end of Raw, complete with Sgt. Slaughter helping the fallen "star" with a knee injury up the ramp, is exactly how the show ended when Triple H got hurt. What a coincidence...

3) Goldust as Ben Franklin was a pleasant surprise.

4) Does Bradshaw actually enjoy fueding with Chris Nowinski?

5) I'm sorry, but the NWO's "you're either with us or against us" plot point has been used before. They did the exact same thing with DDP in the mid-90's.

Overall, it seems that they are trying to make improvements, and for the most part, they're working.

The only good thing about the main event at Veangence is Angle WILL become champion. I have predicted it now and it will happen. Jackie needs some real help, she blew so many spots it is laughable. I feel bad about Nash if the injury is real like I believe it is his career is over.

ECW!ECW!ECW!ECW!

I liked Raw as a whole. Tommy Dreamer stole the show, IMHO. I hope we get to see him show a little bit more of why he was called the Innovator of violence in ECW. I went nuts when he came out.

But Jackie and Trish was just an embarrassment. Jackie better be going to OVW or HWA, or does Vince obviously just want to push another pretty face? Was I the only one wondering where's Linda Miles been?

NASH!!! YOU #@$%#$# MORON!!!! YOUR FIRST #$#$# MATCH BACK!!

The reason I think it really happened was because Buh Buh Dudley was the first person to check on him, breaking character.

One comment only:

Do they have to make it this obvious that Triple H is *not* joining the NWO?

What is your problem? The guy has been wrestling for more than ten years now and has a history of knee problems and when he gets what is probanly a serious injury you call him a moron. I hope you were kidding.

I will post this, then I will unsubscribe since I know people are going to bash tonight's show (and my opinion) mostly because of the mixed tag match with Trish and Jackie (which I will post about in a minute).

Good Raw. Flair and Jeff Hardy both got wins after losing last week, and now it looks like Regal's character will be moving in a new direction.

Rock flashbacks were ok. Maybe now the Smackdown show will get some higher ratings.

Something didn't seem right with The Dudley's, Goldust, and Booker T. I guess it was the two run-ins before the main event.

Now I will talk about the mixed tag with Jackie. Her timing was off tonight, and she missed stuff. I'm ok with it. She's still green (with a bad leg), there will be mess ups from time to time (from even the best wrestlers), and things will improve. If people are making fun of this, SHAME ON YOU. They try and sometimes fail, just like any other person when they try something. And if you have the nerve to think its funny when people try their hardest and fail (especially after injury), then I don't want to know you exist.

After saying this, I'll probably get banned for speaking my mind instead of agreeing with the majority. If this is my last post, you now know (from my comments above) why I hate it when people speak negatively about pro wrestling.

It looks as though Nash has a quad injury and surgery is scheduled. I'm not a big Nash fan but I wish him a speedy recovery. Kudos to Michaels for thinking of a new finish on the spot and keeping his cool with one of his best freinds injured. And best wishes to Bret Hart in recovering from his stroke.

There is no hope for this show anymore....it is quickly going down the toilet each and every week

Does anyone remember the good old days when RAW was exciting and fresh?

yawn o matic scale........

RVD saved the show this week from getting another 4 yawns this week

Flair vs Stevie Richards...WTF!!! Who thought that this match was a good idea...for that matter..I'd like to know who on the staff of writers thought most of what has been being passed off as WWE entertainment recently is good? They should be fired on the spot!

Stick a fork in the WWE...It is done

I wouldn't make fun of her. I'd make fun of the WWE for throwing her out there before she's ready. On the other hand, it could just be a "bad night". Happens to the best from time-to-time. If it happens twice, then I'll start the mocking.

JT... it really sounds hypocritical when you tell everyone else how they should think and then paint yourself up as a martyr for "speaking your mind".

Ok I don't know what the heck is going on here, but bashing Nash for getting hurt doesn't make any sense and the "fuzzy" swearing should not be done.
Secondly no one is going to get banned for saying Raw was a good show. It's fine to disagree, but no one should be "bashing" anyone's opinions in the way I think JT is thinking of.

That said, onto my thoughts....

It was nice that Eddie and Booker gave us a little story with our match. I always like a bit behind a contest instead of just “this guy vs. that guy.”

The vignette is in color now! Rey Mysterio must be close!!

Booker accidentally jumping the vendor was great. He saved two-fitey, sucka! :D

Nowinski lost a lot of dignity when he mentioned Yosemite Sam the way he did.

‘Ben Franklin Dust’ fit with the location very nicely. Goldust never ceases to entertain. :)

Bubba Ray Dudley is really starting to step it up since the split. It’s been good for him. No one can be half of a tag team forever.

Despite Jackie’s previous outings, she and Trish just did not work very well together. Mercifully over indeed.

When they are taunting others, the nWo/Kliq is always entertaining and funny. :D

‘Wacko Stevie’ is from Philly if anyone cares.

And here I was afraid Brock wasn’t going to be on this week.

When Dreamer yelled out “Excuse me! Excuse me!” I had a ECW on TNN Cyrus flashback.

I thought the whole Heyman-ECW stuff was done very well in the home of ECW. It’s just a shame Raven isn’t allowed to be there.

Jeff wins the European Title—“Oh like who didn’t see that coming?” He just came off a match for the Undisputed Title and Regal has held the Euro belt since before the split. I just wish there would have been a little bit more behind it—Jeff bumping into Regal in the back or something. There was just nothing behind it, which made a Hardy win even more likely.

I really don’t understand why Regal could do nothing but bawl like a baby after losing his belt, but it looks like it will really add a lot to his partnership with Harvard Chris so it might not be all bad.

Those “too many” guys tag team matches are always fun—we haven’t seen one for a while so this match-up was a nice treat.

Nash’s first match back and he appears to have gotten hurt again. :( I wish I had it on tape so I could go back and watch it, but no such luck. Right now we can only hope it isn’t really serious.

If I may be so bold, fowl one, Christian was European title champ at the time of the split. Regal won it from DDP just after Wrestlemania. Before that, Regal won the Intercontinental title in January from Edge, and lost it to RVD at Wrestlemania.

Regal had not held a title since losing the last European title to Test waaay back in December 2000. He then started his run as comissioner... first for WWF, then WCW when it was "destroyed". Only Test and the guys with titles were held over, hence the reason that Regal had to join Vince's special club. :p

The roster split (not the WCW/ECW one) didn't happend until March 25, 2002. Regal beat DDP (who had beaten Christian) on the March 21 episode of SmackDown! So at the split he was the champ. There was that side thing with Spike, but that almost doesn't count.

But we digress... what do some of you other folks think of RAW? ;)

The second one wasn't a split, it was a brand extension. :p

Interesting to see Buh Buh as a part of the main event mix. He hasn't had any direction since he and D-Von spl... err, brand extended. Having Spike as back-up is good character support for him, without necessarily making him a tag guy again.

To put it more clearly, I see Spike as more of a lackey than a partner. It's a good thing for Spike, as well, since it gives him a purpose rather than being some random match guy.

I'm not holding my breath, but might finally give Buh Buh the momentum he needs to be the upper-midcarder that they've been hoping he would be.

Roughly four hours removed from the end of RAW, Kevin Nash's (http://kevinbigsexynash.com/latestnews.html) website is reporting that he is having surgery.

Nash has been known to use his board to work fans before. Could this HHH-style torn quad be a HBK-style fake injury?

JohnStewart-GL

the Main event was great. I wonder iF Nash's injury is real or part of the plot.
the intergender match was ok. other than the fact that Jackie and Trish totally werent feeling each other at all.
Flair vs Rihcards wasnt anything special.
REgal crying was funny.
i THINK HHH will go with the NWO.

If Triple H doesn't join the nWo then you might as well put a fork in them. Big Kev will be out 8 months. It is looking as if he suffered the same injury as Triple H and if he did you might as well say Nash is done for good

With Hall, Nash, and Hogan the nWo is dead. The nWo could have went on with HBK and Nash or HBK and Hall but without either of them in the nWo you might as well end the angle.

If Nash can return to the WWE then the only thing that is going to keep that angle alive is if Triple H joins the nWo.

If Triple H fueds with the nWo now who is he going to headline PPV's with? X-Pac? Big Show?

If Tommy Dreamer kept the same gimic with him every week then he might actually be something in the WWE. I wish the WWE would have paid attention to his reaction and just let him continue to go extreme

Take away the two Tough Enough people and RAW was a good show

Sorry to disagree but Stevie Richards should not only be on the roster but he should be on the top of the card. Bring back the bWo after all that did look a lot like the bWo's X-Pac last night

Raw was exciting this week. The only bad thing about the show was that the mix tag team match. The only good thing about this match was that Trish wrestled someone other than Molly. Why do they keep trying to put push Jacke Gayda? Jacke hasn't learn how to wrestle yet and she isn't that attractive. Why doesn't the WWF push some more deserving female like Ivory, Jacqueline, Victoria, or even Linda Miles? I wonder where Molly was?

Booker T and Eddie was good because it help Booker T get a clean win. Jeff v Regal was so obivious. Jeff winning the European title was his reward for putting on a good match with Taker. Regal's breakdown was um interesting. Benoit seems to be working of the ring rust. RVD move with the chair to Heyman's face was breathtaking. I never want to see Heyman's skullet again!

The main event was unpredictable. HBK interfering in the match was nice touch. My favorite moment of the night was when RVD was chasing HBK up the ramp. I have to give props to HBK for coming up with that ending on the fly. With Nash injury, there goes Nash vs HHH with special guest referee HBK at SummerSlam. The only thing that can save the nWo is if HHH joining the group or HBK wrestling again. HHH joining the nWo after hearing his comments a few weeks again on "Byte This" isn't to likely. As for HBK, I hope he wrestle again but I have be realistic about HBK's chances of wrestling again.

You're absolutely right. I really didn't know what I was saying because I didn't know whether to believe it at the time or not. My mind was pretty irrational at the time. :(

I really did and still do feel bad for him, but it just seemed too . . .I don't know. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I'd be skeptical. I'm sorry.
