Here is what has been airing on Boomerang showings of the syndicated version of Tennessee Tuxedo and His Tales. I thought those without Boomerang may find it interesting what is showing on these episodes. The episode numbers listed are from CN's website. Each episode has also included one TT bumper (usually they are shown half-way through the TT short), I haven't listed these. I have listed the R&B bumpers because they are so rarely seen. Enjoy.

Jon, I think that's a great idea posting the week's show contents and keep it up, as fans of the show would love to see which episode(s) aired. And by the way Jon, how many episodes aired in syndication during it's run on local stations?

I believe ANY show that could be syndicated had to have 65 episodes. Of course, now the number of episodes in order for a show to be syndicated is 50. So seeing that the TENNESSEE TUXEDO program was syndicated many years ago, there had to be 65 episodes.

Why are "Bullwinkle's Corner" and "Aesop and Son" on the Tennessee Tuxedo Show?

I think it's because the R&B series was done by pretty much the same animators as those who did TT and Underdog.

Here's a trivia note for you...years ago I did see some syndicated prints of R&B with some Commander McBragg segments. I also saw some "Underdog" segments with a series of shorts called "The Most Important Person", done originally for the "Captain Kangaroo" series. TMIP were short 3-minute segments which talked about self esteem and encouragement. The opening title segment, I believe, can be found in RealAudio on the Toon Tracker site ( http://www.toontracker.com ), and it's in the RealMedia Cartoon Showcase section. You'll also find selected segments of the Underdog/Total Television cartoon aura (McBragg, Go-Go Gophers, etc.). Whatever the case, I think these fillers were done for time.

Good luck.

The Jay Ward and Total TV segments got mixed-and-matched quite a bit in syndication over the years. It is similar to how the syndicated Dudley Do-Right show (which is also airing on Boomerang) was packaged with Total Television's King Leonardo, The Hunter, and Commander McBragg segments.
