Remember way back a little while ago we had a thread going doing a bit of "betting/guessing" on when good 'ol Jim would reach 10000 posts? Well, I'm thinking all of us were completely off the mark, but Jim sure is achingly close to getting there in a day or two. Go Jim! You totally rock. You've earned having a number that high.

As of this moment, he's only 21 posts away from 10,000. He's gona be the first TZer to 10,00 right? We should have some kind of celebration to honor this moment. Maybe John Delaney could do a sketch of him, or there could be a special one day only forum or site to honr the moment. I think anyone who is that dedicated to the site deserves some recognition.

Can't wait till you get to 10,000 Jim! :D

The most impressive thing about it is that all of Jim's posts are well-thought and add to the content of the thread. I know some people who get high post counts by posting "fluff" but Jim makes some of the most informative posts at TZ. So congrats in advance, Jim! :)

I was actually planning on bringing back that thread back up tonight. I was curious how close some people were to guessing the date. And there's no need for a celebration or anytung. I just like to post, spreadnews, and converse. There's nothing special about that! If the conversations are good, I'll reach the coveted mark in no time. Without good conversation then I wouldn't be halfway to where I am. I'll admit - it will be pretty cool to see 10,000 under my avatar.

Although I have been putting thought for the big post - mainly where to put it. Do I post it in the BSB Board where it all started for WF, or put it up here in the Cafe?

Just to point out, looks like Dark Spider will have been the closest. Spider put down for the week of July 6th, if not July 6th itself. So DS will have been incredibly close, awesome!

I think it will be a combination of the two: The counter will show 9999, then zero, then there will be an earthshattering BOOM, computer screens will start blinking, airplanes will crash, running water will stop, no electricity, we have to eat canned beans, ect. (think of the Y2K doom stuff) and then....on everyone's computer around the world...HAMTARO WILL APPEAR!!! AHHHHHHH!!!! Scary thought. <shudders> Anyway, despite all the impending DOOM (just kidding), congrats Jim! :D

WOW, 10,000 posts....and they were all meaningful posts at that. Its really a great achievement.

As for me winning the post pool, it seems like I lost it as well. July 6th was on a Saturday and it was the last day of the week. BUT, since I was the closest, I will gladly take the 5,000 credits that I've earned anyway. :)
