Uh, rumours are that CN will not air the 12th episode of 08TH MS Team. While it does end fairly well by episode 11 (it was last night, I guess), episode 12 is an epilogue with Kiki and Mikhail searching for Shiro, who they believe is not dead.

I'll tell you the rest if it does not air tonight.

In other Gundam thoughts, I assume those who are watching 08th MS might be following MSG, though I could be wrong. Garma should be dead by now. How about Icelina? How do you feel the dub handled the whole thing? Good? Bad?

They have to air it man!!!! But was that a sweet ending or what. I swear I though Shiro and Aina died, until I saw them at the end.

The schedule says "War for Two," the first episode for tonight. I don't know why they would think of skipping the epilogue. It's quite interesting. It's not necessary to the story, but I recommend they do it.

BTW--Shiro's leg was blown off in the last battle. Did CN show any shots that implied this? It was a pretty subtle shot in the original as well.

Anyway, Shiro lost his leg, if you don't know.

No, they didn't show Shiro's leg being blow off or anthing like that. As for MSG, Garma and Icelina are dead, I've never seen the sub but I think it was done well. MSD is a great show, I love the whole war feel of it.

No, you shouldn't see him getting his leg blown off because it was never shown in the original. The actual act of him losing the leg happens offscreen. But there is a shot of him (standing, or lying or sitting? I forgot.) and you see he is missing a leg. Should be in the scene with Aina in bandages after being badly burned.

No, I don't think they showed that, but my T.V. cut off for two min at the end. But my friends never said anything about it, so it most likely they didn't show it.

One other thing, how many episodes does Mobile Suit Gundam have?

No they showed his leg being gone. Remember when Aina said...

"Hey you're heavy."

They showed his leg very distinctly being gone. It was just his pants leg.

So they showed his missing leg, eh? That's good.

There is no action in episode 12. It's a fairly quiet epilogue, that focuses mainly on Kiki and Mikhail after the One Year War.

Yes, 08TH MS takes place right after Garma's death, and right to the end of the One Year War.

Now...if CN does not air it because it is not an action episode, I will lose a bit of respect for them because that means they are still pandering to an attention-deficit demographic of little kids even on a midnight run.

They did!? dang T.V. set. I guess I'll have to see it next time around.

I don't think that will be the case, after all, they aired all the episode's of Tenchi and they hardly have action at all.

Oh yes...and Mobile Suit Gundam has 43 episodes.

Maybe it hasn't been dubbed yet? I dunno, seems silly not to air it...

Tell me tommorrow if they aired it.

I just checked it, they just showed the first episode again.

I didn't realize he had lost his leg--guess I'll have to look closely when they rerun that one. At least they didn't bludgeon us over the head with the fact, though, and insult our intelligence.
The Eighth series is, boiled down, a space-age Romeo and Juliet--two warriors from opposite sides find common ground, fall in love, and figure the only way to be together is to "die". Kiki, though I liked her and am sorry there wasn't more of her (what a sour note to go out on, weeping over her dead father and hating Shiro! Does she find it in her to forgive him in the epilogue?), was a bit of a red herring...I thought those two would have worked well together, though I should've realized the mention of the watch was foreshadowing that he'd be with Aina again. Settling for Kiki would sort of be the easy way out, she being a civilian and all...and I guess not really the young ensign's style.

Back from work! Gee, this full-time summer job is killing me...

Okay, I'll be fairly brief about the skipped epilogue--I'll leave out some details in case CN does air it in the future.

--It's almost the end of the war, and a bunch of kids are shuttled to earth.

Next scene occurs a bit after the war is over. Mikhail and Kiki are travelling together...Mikhail is searching for Shiro, whom he believes to be alive. His life has become somewhat aimless after the war. Kiki's comin' along too. M & K come across a wrecked shuttle and are captured by a bunch of kids (see first sentence). After an escape, M & K find that the kids are named after everyone from the 8th team. One kid is named Karen, one is Shiro, one is Sanders...and two others are Mikhail and Kiki. The real M & K introduce themselves, and, after a goofy sequence involving the "leader" named Shiro, the kids tell them that Shiro and Aina are alive and taught the kids how to survive, and then moved on. The kids give them directions and Kiki and Mikhail find the real Shiro and Aina living in a cabin...and Aina is pregnant! (Wow...Shiro's been busy...)

That's it. The end. There is no dialogue from Shiro and Aina, just a fairly brief scene of them being alive.

Like I said, not important, but interesting nonetheless.

Quite interesting, I wouldn't of thought Aina would be pregnant already. Shiro sure didn't waste and time.

--his leg got shot off...but evidently everything else reamined perfectly intact. :D

I think I know a good reason why it didn't air. The epilogue covers events that occur at the end of Mobile Suit Gundam. By airing this episode, it would have spoiled some of the events...and since MSG isn't even near its end yet, it seems inappropriate to spoil them. And the characters (the "kids" I described) take on more significance AFTER you've watched all of MSG.
