Dragonball questions

I've got pretty much all of the 508 Dragonball/Z/GT episodes, all of the movies and TV specials if anyone has any questions about them.

K I'll bite.

How about the Garlic Jr. saga? How come it fits into the conventional DBZ timeline but Dead Zone does not. Yet the former refrences the later.

How come Gohan, or Krillan where not able to destroy Garlic Jr. Goku and Piccilo where able to take him way back when, and Krillian and Gohon are alot stronger then in the saga, then he was back then.

How's that for starters?

The Dragonball movies and the Garlic Jr. don't fit into the regular timeline. None of the movies do and Garlic Jr. was just filler material while Toriyama-san caught the manga up, so it doesn't make sinceas far as power levels ecetera.

what is up with Vegeta? I read somewhere that he was sent to kill Goku. He was kinda jerky in Cell Games, but seemed to be on the side of good. Now in the Garlic story he seems like he want's to kill or a least better Goku.

Vegeta was kinda raised by Frieza, but as the lipstick wonder had killed his father (the king of the Saijin planet he shared a name with)... It was hardly an amicable working relationship (I've read a # of fanfics that go into depth on Frieza's breaking methods- not pretty)... Vegeta and a fellow Saijin, Raditz, tried to conquer Earth... Raditz bit it, Goku let Vegeta go... And then Vegeta helped them go against Frieza... Generally speaking, he's out to prove he's better than Goku but he does go through an overall arc of losing interest. A bit. I mean, other than breeding, his relationship with Bulma's not too official or established... Late into Z, when Gohan's a young adult, V's temper/impatience/eagerness to beat Goku makes him a pawn for Doubler and Babi Dee.
