DARN YOU!!!

I heard this and the first Pokemon I thought of was Butterfree. Dad-gum do I want that guy to return. :( ...But Charizard was also a pretty cool Pokemon, and I'm glad he'll be back on the roster!

That's old news to a pokéfreak like me! And seasons don't exist in japan! cause if they did, the "next season" would be pretty darn short with the johto league starting in mid-august and ending sometime in october when advance comes out.

Blackthorn City Gym! The Final Badge! Synopsis

The last time they faced off, the match was interrupted by Team Rocket, so now, they restart their gym match!

It's a water field type gym, with platforms big enough for Ash's first Pokemon, Snorlax, who Ash took out for this match. Clair sends out Kingdra.

Suddenly, Kingdra uses Agility, moving at amazing speeds, finishing with a Swift. But Snorlax's big belly does well, holding up against the attack, sending Kingdra back! Clair orders a Hydro Pump, which Snorlax leans into, as the water seems ineffective against him, just like the game. ^^

It seems as though Ash's strategy is working, possibly as a result of years of practice. Kingdra seems to be running out of steam, moving and attacking while Snorlax stands there.

All of a sudden, Snorlax uses his Ice Punch! Ash didn't even know he could use that attack, which KO's Kingdra!

Round one goes to Ash, as Clair sends out her next Pokemon, Gyarados.

Snorlax is now tired, having taken a lot of damage, as Gyarados' Dragon Breath attack, and then finally a Hyper Beam right to Snorlax's face KO's it finally.

Snorlax is recalled, and Pikachu is sent out, with the match tied at one apiece. Against Gyarados, Pikachu is going to have to use it's speed and type advantage to win.

Gyarados immediately goes for some sort of bite attack, which Pikachu dodges. Pikachu goes for a Thunderbolt, but Gyarados uses Dragon Breath, which seems to slow Pikachu down. Gyarados goes for the ultimate water attack, Hydro Pump, which Pikachu agilities up, using Thunderbolt to finish off Gyarados while standing on its head oO

Clair recalls Gyarados, and sends out her final Pokemon, Dragonair.

Pikachu starts off with a Thunderbolt, which Dragonair avoids by going in the water. Dragonair's Hyper Beam attack finishes off Pikachu, who faints. ^_^

Finally, Ash sends out Charizard to face Dragonair. =D

Dragonair starts out by going underwater, where Charizard won't be able to follow. Dragonair, while underwater, uses a Twister which hits Charizard dead on.

(This next part is really choppy, so I might be wrong, I'm going to wait for another source to confirm this, but I'll post what I think.)

It then turns into an aerial battle between Charizard and Dragonair, as Charizard's training shows in his battling skills!

Dragonair goes for an Iron Tail against Charizard, who grabs the tail and uses Earth Hurl (Seismic Toss) against Dragonair! Dragonair uses Thunder during the Seismic Toss, hurting Charizard. Again, Dragonair goes for an Iron Tail, and again Charizard goes for the Seismic Toss! Again, Dragonair attacks with a Thunder, hurting Charizard again.

Once more, the same thing happens. This time, Ash has a plan. He orders Charizard to use a Flamethrower while doing Seismic Toss. So, while doing Seismic Toss, all you see is a circle of flames, as Dragonair is slammed to the ground!

Dragonair is KO'ed, as Ash wins the Rising Badge!

He gets congratulated by Clair, as the camera shifts to the Dragon Cave. Team Rocket is doing their evil, retrying to get the Dragon Fang. They see Lisa, and their faces change into what's termed as "miserable" ^^;;

The last scene shows Lisa, Charla and Charizard leave for the Valley, as Ash now heads to Mt. Silver.

Charizard will be back for a couple episodes then leave again.

Im so glad that they have people like me who watch and enjoy the show.
Anywho...my question to anyone is, How many johto badges did Ash collect ? Due to excessive work at night I cant seem to wake up as early as I used to. The last badge I saw him get was the Fog badge. Did he ever make it to Olivine City?

Why does he always give away his good Pokemon? Ugh... this is one of the many reasons why I can't stand this show anymore!

Yeah true. Charazard is a pimp. A major pimp, a fire breathing pimp. Unfortunetly the spoiler abvoe crushed my dreams that Ash had finally gotten smart.

I know how you feel about Ash giving away his good Pokemon though. That pisses me off.

Mankey ! He was cool, Ash finally gets him to act right and he gives him to some guy to train..You know Ash was "Suposed" to get the dang thing back.

Butterfree I understood, it was nature. Pidgeot was just a stupid cop out. He finally evolves and NOW you decide to send him away ? What's wrong with you ASh ? Just put him back in his Pokeball and walk away. Squirtle, I was mad about but I could vaugly understand, he needed his crew. I was Soooo mad when he let Charazard go, that was my absolute favorite Pokemon. I can understand it, but your just letting him get trained you actually go back to get the dang thing ! Looks like to me he's pulling a Mankey.

Ash even tried to ditch Pikachu. Sometimes I wonder about that boy. I'm a fan of the show, a big fan of the game, a former fan of the cards and a viwer of the movies. I enjoy it, it's highly entertaining, funny and when the action happens it's the best. I love those 2 parter fights, especially the Fire cave episode.

I love talking to other pokemon fans as most peopel I knwo don't watch the showany more or at all. Hopefully I'll meet some more at Wizard World Comicon on Saturday.. You know fans of the Pokeom Manga. (great read by the way, the show could stand to be more like it) --I'm talking Pokemon adventures (there are like 3 manga series, I'm jsut getting into Yellow Calibrero.)

I stopped watching when the Orange league came in ages ago. About the time Pidgeotto/Pidgeot left. So, that's who I was hoping for.

Orange Leauge sucked. I couldn't watch that crap either... "We don't battle pokemon we have pokemon Cometitions for Badges" Badhe battles are usually the best and they ruined them. I'd watch those episodes withe sound down while on the computer, but I came back when that season ended,

Well, Ash getting Charizard back isn't that big of a surprise, remember in the Pokemon Johto League Champions opening he is seen flying around on Charizard which would indicate Charizard's presence is felt.
I admit this news makes me feel good about watching the show. I've always felt of it as an equal equivalent to shows that I watched early on such as Transformers, Masters Of The Universe, G.I. JOE, Alvin & The Chipmunks, Scooby Doo and am eager to see the show get back on track.
Honestly, along with me getting maybe a bit too old for be watching a cartoon like this, another factor was the show was becoming one filler episode after another. Even worse, the supporting character wasn't that interesting unlike the memorable supporting cast Pokemon's had.
Charizard returning is good enough reason for me to continue to turn into the show as well as realize maybe the show is coming back to a plot of sorts such as the first season with the Indigo League (plots that revolved around Ash actually learning and battling, as well as character episodes that gave us some detail about them).
The Orange Islands were just filler and weren't bad but Johto hasn't been that good. As for Johto, it has been okay but more than anything it feels exactly like what everybody complained Pokemon was like when I first got into it (fall 1999).

I stopped watching Pokemon on TV (not videos) around the Orange League, and have only seen a handful of Johto episodes. If something really interesting happens, like Misty confessing her crush or Team Rocket actually winning or something, then I'll start watching again. For now I just don't go out of my way to watch.
