Who even likes it anymore?

my neighbors loved it..now they could care less. Pokemon is lame now. It's going the way of Power Rangers. Ya know..new shows..new title names..new characters..balh blah blah..

I honestly loved pokemon when the first 150 pokemon were around. Then they released another 150?? The heck? That's lame. I immediatly hated it after the other 150 came....

Ahh..I could rant about this all day..but..I'd probably get met with a ban down the road... :D

The game is fun, but the show got lame after Ash went to the Johto league.

But I heard the "lost" episode that gave everybody seizures is airing this Saturday. I want to see that just for fun........

Kanto and the Indigo League was good, so was Orange League. But Johto? I'm sorry, no way. WAY too predictable and they got rid of cliffhanger endings.

I liked about the first season. Then everything started getting repeated. They introduced all 150 Poke'mon, so they started recycling old scripts. Eventually, they just had to make new Poke'mon to introduce. And then there's the fact that it's on 12 times a week. I mean, even the hardcore fans can't possible watch that much of it, can they???

The game is alright though.

I`m just so obsessed with monsters and video games that when the two are combined its an instant hit with me.

And the fact that most people hate it/find it annoying only makes me adore it a thousand times more.Obnoxious japanese monsters that scream their own names=cooler than you ;)

pokemon was never good its not like it just it started getting bad. it has always ben aweful and will never not be aweful.

And I never liked the show, but I don't hold it against them just becaue it's another culture. It's hard for most people to relate to Anime shows and characters a lot.

The show is another story. My personal pet peeve is how the Pokemon say their names over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over (etc.) where in the game, they made actual animal noises.

They are NOT about to air that lost episode. See The Kids WB Schedule (http://www.toonzone.net/shows/schedules/) for proof.

They did once advertise "#18 Beauty and the Beach" as a lost episode, maybe that's what you are thinking of. I don't even see that on the current schedule.

The seizure episode is "Electric Soldier Porygon" (or a variation of that).

Ah well. I didn't really want to watch a Pokemon episode anyway, I just thought it would be funny. My friend was telling me about this website made by this pokemon hater yesterday. It was done in Flash, I think, and it was just a Pokemon/Gundam looking robo-monstor character's face with two backgrounds flashing different colors on each frame.

Kind of like that "this has been a production of E!" thing at the end of a show on E!.

You guys ever see the Pokemon spoof on TV Funhouse on Comedy Central? I think it was called Jokamal, with the main "Pokemon" being a cross between Joe Camel and Pikachu. Adult themed, but very funny. I guess that's one thing I like about Pokemon- the satirical spoofs that it has spawned:p

Admittedly episodes that focus on Pokemon battles too much bore me and I gloss over them in my reviews...but human/Pokemon interaction interests me, and I especially like Pokemon with doglike mannerisms like leg-mounting, nursing, or pack behavior.

Hate to dissapoint, but we try and stear clear of hate devoted posts on the boards, even though this is clearly trivial and nothing will come of it. It's just that we and fellow posters can't tell other posters what they can and can't say, and where they can say it. Please keep that in mind, huh? :)

This seems a little antagonistic - as if looking to stir up trouble. I'm neither a lover or hater of Pokemon (I can see both good and bad points on the subject), however I don't think any of the Pokemon threads have been territorial in anyway. If you don't agree with an opinion, no one is stopping you from posting. The Pokemon threads are just peeps discussing what they think about the specific subject.

I beg to differ. As I said, Kanto was good. The plots, whilst predictable, were good and the cliffhanger endings made you want to see the next episode (especially the St Anne arc ). You can't just say "Pokemon is bad, so there". You need a reason. I agree that there is WAY too much merchandising, but the show was good and if the writers have brains they should end the series after Johto or give us a new cast.
This is similar to the arguments over DBZ. People say it's just fighting. Watch it and you'll see more. If you watch from the first ever episode of DragonBall, to the final episode of DragonBall GT (Which suffers since it was made just to milk DB to death ) you see the saga of one man, Son Goku, his friends and family. You see them go from young and inexperienced, to powerful warriors who face the most powerful foes of their universe. We get emotional scenes, such as Son Gohan's transformation into Super Saiya-jin 2 and the deaths of Ten, Chatzou and Yamucha at the hands of Nappa and Vegeta. We get humour as well. So if you're gonna bash something, please give GOOD reasons.

Blight man, I agree with everything you said. I too, thought the episodes in Kanto were the best they made, everything after was pretty bad. I also agree that if you watch DB from begining to end, its pretty well done. I heard there is another series after johto, is that true?

To each his own. My mother loves cats, but one of my exes bitterly hated them. I think it was a chilhood trauma-related phobia, although I never really asked her about it (though barring hypnosis, she probably wouldn't remember what caused her intense cat-hatred....)
