Well, WB is apparently going ahead with plans on World's Finest. Wolfgang Petersen is in talks to be the driving force behind it.
I personally was hoping that if this movie has to happen, get John McTiernan to direct it. He is a master of complex plots, action heroes (DieHard/Predator) and can handle something of epic proportions. Seeing how this is one step down from being Justice League it will be epic.

I agree, and please, PLEASE, take GL's advice. Complicated plots are brilliant and woderfull in movies (especially in THIS case with these characters we love so much) but it is also the easiest way to kill a movie. Go ahead WB, ask McTiernan to direct, you can say it was your idea! We'll be all hush hush about it, promise.
This is mad crazy important. :p I mean why bother making the movie if your only goald is profit. If you've got dollar signs in your eyes instead of bats and S's.

Not that I have anything against a Batman/Superman team-up movie, but wouldn't it be smarter for the WB to restart BOTH movie franchises before even contemplating such an idea?

And we have a winner!! I couldn't agree more Tim. I'd rather see a good Batman movie and a good Superman movie than a team-up. Not to veer off-topic, but they plan to do Catwoman and now this. I will wait with fainted breath for the Mad Hatter movie. "World's Finest" wouldn't be bad to see, but this just isn't the place to start.

Well, as much as I would have loved seeing a Batman:Year One, I'm all for a Batman/Superman movie. If they don't screw it up. Both characters, the studios well know, are in need of a new movie, and I assume they though, what better way to re-introduce these guys then a team-up movie. Could work, or could be a disaster, I'm certainly hoping for the former!

Hmm...someone ought to beat the WB people senseless till some agree's to hire Dini to script this beast.
That at least will give it a chance of being decent.

I have been looking forward to this movie ever since I heard of the plans for it!!
I have a few ideas about who I think would be good in the roles.
Batman:
George Clooney- no matter what anyone else says, I like him! I'd like to see him get a second chance with a good script. :)
Sean Bean- No one does both subtle and intense, moody, etc... like this guy. I can definitely see him as both Bruce Wayne, and the 'Dark Knight'!!!!
Can't remember this guys name...but the guy who plays Jared on Pretender. He can play both intimidating (Batman) and vulnerable/human (Bruce).
Superman:
John Travolta. Dimpled chin and all. :D
Dean Kane-if paired with the guy who played Jared.
My third choice I leave open for an unknown...
I'm not sure who the villians are(Lex and Joker?)........so I don't know who to pick...Someone good, Please!!!
