In the "Dave Mirra BMX XXX" thread, talk of the Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball is abound, and a couple people stated they just wanted a volleyball game--well, Sega is making one, and it's coming to the Nintendo GameCube.

Entitled "Beach Spikers"..:

Soon you'll be hitting the beach for some high-intensity volleyball under the hot summer sun in Beach Spikers for Nintendo GameCube™. This Arcade smash hit showcases bikini-clad female teams of two in fierce competition. Perfect your timing and technique and you'll be well on your way to volleyball champion superstardom.

You can bump, set, and spike it with three friends in Versus Mode or by yourself in the Arcade, Training, or new World Tour Mode. To claim the victory in World Tour Mode, you'll want to assign the points accrued from matches won to your computer partner's prowess on the sandy court. If she's better, you're better. Remember there's no "I" in team!

It's expected to hit this August! You can check the page out by clicking here (http://www.sega.com/games/gamecube/post_gamecube1look.jhtml;jsessionid=1KFV0KOKY2IMCCRSBUFCNHAKGIGRIMS5?article=1look_beachspikers)

I'm digging this game. Those screems looking strikingly real. I'm going to actually buy this game despite the funny looks my friends will give me until they play it. Much like they did with NHL Hitz.

Well we will see, I am always a little leary with games like volleball and tennis (my fav. sports to game play) I will prob. rent them first and see if I like them enough to buy them.

thanks for the heads up Bird Boy

DOA Volley Ball is just going to be an excuse to use that "Bounce Feature" until it gets old, might be fun but how different can games about Volly Ball be ?

Looks like a good game, I'm going to have a hard time deciding which volly ball game I'm getting. *Remembers DOA2*

On second thought, maybe not. :D

Of course, I'll definately be getting DOA Volly Ball over this one. The DOA girls are just too hot. Heh, I'm starting to feel like a raving fanboy. :p

You read my mind...

That being said, this is a game that I will never purchase.
