Have there been server problems lately?

This is the first time in about two weeks I've been able to access the boards, and I was just wondering if others had reported problems too. I tried e-mailing Harley, but it would'nt go through. A board regular I contacted said it's been working fine for him, so I'm not sure whats going on. Even now I've noticed that Romey & Harleys picture links don't work, and some of the page graphics at the top don't display....but I consider that minor. I'm just glad to be back!! :)

The problem was "temporary"--if you call three weeks temporary! But they are currently moving things to a new server, and it may be done already, for all I know. I hadn't been able to get on at work for three weeks now but today I finally can! So you're not the only one who was having problems! I am just glad to see everybody back!

I think the problem is solved for now, but since the people who run our current server took 3 weeks to do anything, and ignored just about every e-mail we sent during those three weeks, we're going to be switching to a new server very soon. It's a really good one too... Dual 833 MHz Pentium III, 1 GB of RAM, 18 GB SCSI hard drive, 150 GB of bandwidth... it'll put this current server to shame.

I still have scads of problems, I haven't been able to get to Jon's page, or the mainpage, or anything. I'm only able to post this because of the new URL posted at the TTTP board. I was able to get the main TZ page yesterday through the news boards, but none of the graphics loaded. On the up side, I can see the navigation bar and the advertisements for the first time in a long time, but now the little picture bar is gone.

Well, it's good to know that I wasn't the only one having problems. At this time, though, everything that wasn't working for me yesterday (page graphics & picture links) works fine today. The test for me will be if I can still access the boards after I make this post (which I could'nt do the other day immediatly after starting this thread). Hope the new server gets installed soon so TZ runs smoothly for everyone and complaints become a thing of the past. In the meantime, if the old server acts up again, might I suggest a rubber mallet? A few well-placed blows in the right spot(s) could work wonders! :D
