(Forgive me if this topic has been posted before but I am new here)

If you could have any member of the Justice League removed or sent to a different planet to portect or something. Which one would it be?

I would have to say Hawkgirl...

I wouldn't want any of them to leave, but to be perfectly honest..I'd probably miss Wonder Woman the least.

I think that the group could use less of GL's bossy attidude, so I'm gonna go w/ John Stewart, the Green Lantern.
More than you can imagine.

It has to be GL i mean he is like in his mid 40s ,no need to the team they need a younger GL like Kyle . I think GL and HAwkgirl getting together is crazy unless she is like 45 too.

Where do you get that John Stewart is in his mid 40's?

And if he was how is he of no use to the team?

Well... by that logic Batman should get the boot. Based of information from BTAS, TNBSA, Mask of the Phantasm, and BB (if you regard it as continuity or not) Bruce should be in his early to mid 40's by now. Going by the same information Superman should be in his mid to late 30's, so I guess he should watch his back or he might just get ditched for a younger model. And good god! J'onn is over a thousand years old, I guess it's time to ship him off. Can't forget Wonder Woman. She knew classical Greek artists so obviously she's the oldest of the bunch.

There's no evidence as to how old John is. But if I had to guess it'd be mid 30's.

Personally I say no one. But I voted Batman out of spite. :p

Say Batman started in his Early 20s then by now he would be in his early 30s cause it couldn't have been more then 10 years. Superman started in his Early 20s since he just left Smallville to get a job so he should be like late 20s and Green Lantern said he read a comic when he was a kid that was cancelled 40 years ago meaning he is well over 40.

As I recall, John Stewart had an uncle who collected old comics. That included the characters in Legends. The series may have been discontinued forty years ago, but John might not have read it with his uncle until 20-30 years ago. I agree that he's over thirty. As for Supes, age obviously doesn't matter if you look at any series...any Superman future gives him some grey hair and that's about it. I'd say Batman is mid to late thirties. I don't know about Hawkgirl or Wonderwoman (for all we know, the latter could be centuries). J'onn is definitely at least a thousand.

Back on topic...I'm a Batfan and all, but I'd have to say that Batman would be most likely to leave. He's more of a loner anyway. Sure, put him on reserve (and on his own series again :D ) , but get another member to be there constantly. Maybe Green Arrow?

I don't think Batman would be leaving mainly because it will hurt them if they take him out. Obviously alot of people watch the show for batman alone. Me i watch for only Batman and Superman the others don't really interest me except Wonder Woman. Also i mean Batman is the smartest one he is like the JL's Oracle. You're Right about GL i never thought of that but then again he i believe is still useless i mean Kyle would have been better. I mean people would never know who John Stewart is if they don't read old issues of Green Latern.

Well I believe the only reason John Stewart was made as GL is to have it more of Race Issue. A all white hero team (Excluding MM) could offend some people, I don't like John Stewart much anyway but at sometimes you have just gotta love him. Also Batman leaving the Lague would have somewhat of a Major Affect. If you really think about it Batman is the brains of the league. Forgods sake he has Millions of dollars,Hasa secret cave, all these gadgets and cars and founded the Watchtower. It is good not having him every episode but without him Aquaman would be dead and the JL History would change Greatly.

Anyway back to the topic

Hawkgirl and Green Lantern are tied with 4 votes Each
Superman,Batman ad Wonder Woman are tied in second place with 2 votes each
Martain Manhunter and The Flash have not votes, So lets keep it that way.

Personally, I'd miss Batman the least. I'm not overly fond of the curmudgeon. Besides, J'onn is as good a detective as Batman and is just as smart if not smarter and is as good a strategist.

They only put the bat on the show for the fan base...

Hardly.

The move “Mask of the Phantasm” places Bruce as just completed his training around the world and as having graduated Gotham U. This would put him in his early 20's (about 22 - 23), at the very least, when he first put on the cowl. Shortly thereafter Dick Grayson's parents were murdered and Bruce took him in. The credits from "Robins Reckoning" state that the Dick was 10 at the time. Since Dick was in the middle of college during BTAS, he should be in his early 20's at the time, thus Bruce would be in his early 30's ( about 32) during BTAS. BTAS covers a span of about 2 or 3 years, followed by the lost years (the beginning of which is explained during the flashback in "Old Wounds"). Assuming a minimum 2 year gap between the end of BTAS and the beginning of TNBA, Bruce should be in his mid 30's (about 34 - 35) at the start of TNBA. Assuming that STAS covers about a period of 3 years ("Last Son" to "Legacy") and that TNBA starts about half-way into STAS (or as late as the last third) Bruce should be around 37 by the time we get to the events of "Legacy". Now going with the assumption that the gap between "Legacy" and humans landing on Mars ("Secret Origins") is a period of about 2 years, and "Secret Origins" really takes place 6 months after that. Batman should either be 40 years old by now or very, very close to turning 40.

And just like Batman can't be in his early 30's when JL starts, neither can Superman's be in his late 20's. Going by official information it was 16 years after the destruction of Krypton that Kara's mother designed and placed her family in the cryo-tubes in order to prolong the chance of rescue. Meaning that Kara's technically a little older than Superman, but physically 16 and since she's meant to be about half his age Superman is in his early 30's during the events of "Little Girl Lost". This also backs up the information from "Monkey Fun" which places Lois at 9 when Titano was launched into space and since Titano was lost for 20 years she would be 29 at the time of the episode, and Superman was probably about 30 or 31 at the time (since I seriously doubt that creative team wanted that big of an age gap between Supes and Lois). So that would mean that Superman was about 30 when he arrived in Metropolis, about 33 when "Legacy" happened, and about 35 by the time we get to "Secret Origins".

As for John and the Comics. In "Legends" GL said that he went to his Uncle's house every day after school and read comics from his collection, meaning that his uncle could have had those comics for years. In fact the dialog hints that the issues had been out of print for some time. Besides you can't really date someone by the comics they've read. I've read all of my dad's old comics 3 or 4 times each and I wasn't alive back in the 50's and 60's. :p

To be frank, there isn't enough information at the moment to pin down John Stewart's age. Nor Hawkgirl’s. And I don't even want to attempt J'onn's or WW's. On the other had I could probably guestimate the Flash's. :D

But I guess actually liking a character for their merits pales in comparison to the fact that the addition of said character adds racial diversity to the League.

Wonder Woman has to be the most boring character on the show, and she's only there half the time. At least Hawkgirl has some personality.

so all of you want ME gone? :(
personally John stewart to me has been a stand out character in the first season and i like him better than kyle and he suits the team better.the only member i think the roster is great the way it is and i wouldnt change or get rid of any member.but if i had to choose id flash. JL should be a team of earths best and hes to much of a rookie. I would put in Steel instead.

i would guess considering the comics were cancelled 40 years ago and that they were his uncles. so i would guess hes to mature to be in his 20s so i would say between 32 and 35.

No we can't get rid of Flash, Justice League wouldn't be Justice League without the Flash.

Martian Manhunter.

It's not because I dislike his character, but of all the seven, he's the one I know of the least. I don't read comic books and he's never been animated before. I'd rather see someone else: Atom, Green Arrow, Aquaman, to name a few.

The biggest reason is because the writers have not done anything with him. He has these unique powers but you rarely see him do anything but fly and phase. His mental powers are used sparingly, and nothing about his fights suggest how strong he really is. He's just there.

Let's substitute him with someone who can't fly and doesn't have superhuman strength. Far too many of the JL can fly (first time I've seen Wonder Woman do it). I'd like to see someone with excellent skills, like Green Arrow.

(inhales deeply) J'Onn J'Onzz is the last survivor of an ancient Martian race the was wipped out over 1,000 years ago by a plague manufactured on the planet by J'Onn's evil twin brother Malefic. After his wife and daughter were killed by the plauge J'Onn went to find his brother and openend a can on him. After he was done killing Male-boy, he wandered around the cities for give or take a couple hundred years, morphing himself into his fellow Martians to convince himself they were still alive, mostly his wife and kid. Soon after that, he was accidentaly transported to Earth by a Dr. J. Saul Erdel to the year 1957 on Earth, but unfortunatly the machine blew up, Erdel was killed, and J'Onny was stranded here. That was when he "met" Detective John Jones of the Denver P.D. J'Onn was inpresed and stayed around him for a year, learning every thing about Jones. One day, Jones was due to testify in court, but two of his own, payed by the accused, shot Jones in the head. J'Onn swore to avenge John by "becoming" John Jones himself. He then spent his days fighting crime in Denver as John Jones and Martian Manhunter. Soon in the 1970's, J'Onn joined up with the current hero's of the time to form the Justice League of America. He has since been a member through every incarnation. :D :p

So now you can't say you don't know anything about my man, J'Onny J'Onzz. :D

enough already
this John Stewart- bashing is getting tiresome and I'm tired of reading thread after thread of people hatin on John.

I like John. I like his attitude and I like his leadership. And I like the way he chooses to use the ring's power.

Just enjoy the program and be thankful it's not Spider-Man Unlimited!!!

I too was skeptical about J'Onn J'Onnz but after watching him in action, he's one of my favorites!!!

In terms of powers/abilities, he's the most powerful individual on the team

checklist:
He's uber-strong
Uses jedi mind tricks/telepathy
Flight
Phasing/alter density
And he morphs!!!

He's the sage of the group.
A JL w/o MM is no JL for me!!!

btw, have you peeped his maquette??? The sharpest of the lot so far!!!

J'ohnn he's frustration because he has so much potential with his powers and the writers are doing nothing with it, I mean I want him to start doing some Professor X/Jean Grey stuff with his telepathy. Not only that he doesnt have much of a personality.

Thank you, Frank. As I mentioned, it's not that I dislike MM. It's that the writers are not using him to his potential.

By the way, Zoe, thanks for that bio.

If we have to get rid of someone, get rid of HawkGirl (surely she's not one of the BEST heroes in the DC universe) and replace her with BATGIRL!!!

Or mabye Nightwing.

OK Batman starts in his early 20's he gets robin when he is 12 not 10. Batman would be 32 or 33 in TNBA. Since TNBA can't possibly be more then 2 years he would be 35 and now 2 more years he would be 37. But you forget that in shows like this time goes alot slower.
