Greetings Leaguers. I know this watch tower isn't the easiest place to get to, but it's new Fresh Question time so I promise it'll be worth the trip. Enjoy.
I know it's barely been a season so far, but with Injustice For All a month or two away, I got to thinkin:
Which villain has been the most challenging for the JL team so far?? Why?

I would have to say Aresia. Sure Mongul,The Manhunters,Orm and many other of the villains were special in there own way. Aresia band together the remains of the Injustice Gang and took out Five out of the Seven of the Leaguers. And almost affected the entire population of men with this virus. Plus the backstory that she was taught the same as Wonder Woman but finally ended up on different Sides was a good plot...
My Vote : Aresia

I'd have to say Aresia as well, followed a close second by Oram. Of Coarse that was more Aquman's fight then theirs.

I say Deadshot. The fact a non-powered villain had five of the members running around like chickens with their heads cut off proved they're nowhere near the league they should be at this point in time. They need improvement on teamwork, strategy, common sense, understanding their own powers, understanding their teammates' powers, toning down the hubris, better deductive reasoning, being more alert, improving on improvisation, honing their many meta-human and fighting skills and cutting back on unnecessary property damage. Deadshot was not their most challenging adversary, but he's the one who best challenged their overconfidence and inability to realize how much they needed to improve. So, I'll pick Deadshot. Or the aliens who took over the world in the opening three-parter. Either one.

Felix Faust. They couldn't kill him cuz Wonder Woman's sisters would never be revived. Even if they could fight him, he could use his magic and that would be a problem for the JL.

So far I would have to say Aresia as well. But I bet Vandal Savage will end up being the most fearsome foe when he shows up.

Ray, with out the Justice Guild there to help, Flash, Hawk Girl, GL, and MM all would of died. He was really powerful!

They could have killed him, from what I saw. Not that they would have. Well, Diana and Hawkgirl might have considered it. :) Remember the end, when everyone turned back to being ... un-stone? Felix was dead at this point, the device he'd used to stone everyone destroyed. As Batman -- or was it J'onn -- explained, the spell was tied to his will. When he stopped willing things to be, they simply ceased.

Im going to go with Ray and Lord Hades . Those are two villains that could single handedly defeat The League with their powers.

Definitely Lord Hades, so far he has been the only single villian that they all fought and couldn't defeat conventionally. I mean Aresia was just agaisnt Wonder Woman and the Manhunters couldn't hold agaisnt the whole League, but Hades went against all of them and beat em.

Lord Hades, by far.

Woulda sucked if they did let the JL defeat Hades. He's a god; he shouldn't be defeated by mortals, no matter how powerful.

Aresia seemed pretty difficult for them. But Lord Hades I think was the toughest by far. And hey, it woulda been kind a cool, although somewhat unbelievable, for them to defeat a god.

Anyone can be defeated, even a god. The JL shouldn't have been able to, though, as they aren't quite a harmonious team yet, IMHO. The most teamwork they've shown is in smaller units, such as HG/WW in "Fury," Flash and GL in "The Brave and the Bold," and Superman/Batman in "Legends," Pt. 1. When they act as a whole, such as the Faust fight on Thymiscara and the Lord Hades fight, they seem largely uncoordinated.
But back to defeating a god... they couldn't have done it anyway. They didn't have the proper mythical tools required. There's some sort of blood you can get, though I don't remember what it is, that can fatally injure a god if used on a tipped arrow or other such device.

Just because someone is a god shouldnt mean they are unbeatable. If that was the case Marvels Thor should never lose because he's a god.

I would have to say Aresia. Not only was she the toughest out of all of them, but she was also came pretty close to wipping out every male on the planet. None of the other villian's did what she did - target Earth.
