In light of Cal's recent Archivin nostalgia driven post, I'd thought I'd ask everybody how many posts they had in the old boards. I had 139.

I was wondering what this was dojing here :)
I'll delete itin a day or 2. But still, I go through the old JL/B/S/ Board archives alot. Man...there sure were some good times (and wonky) times there.

I had 339 posts on the old boards. I thought that was quite a bit, and when I had to start over from zero here, it was kinda humbling. But now I am over 2000, I hardly notice anymore!

I had 301....and that was of my 3 nicknames (Capt_Tarpals, Jolly Jack, and Bird_Boy). I was thinking of changing my name on this board again, but I like Bird_Boy too much.. :)

DG, isn't there a way you can just move this over to the Animation/General Topics board instead of deleting it?

I had the nice little number of 65 I think, somewhere around there anyways.

Taking this as a tip, I decided to try to handle it myself.
So, I guess I just lost my mod-virginity. The Earth moved. (Or, at least, this thread did.)

Damn, I was about to move the thread.
Mr Eye, I don't know why I put delete. I guess I wasn't that awake when I posted that reply. The diea to simply move it smacked me in the head after I replied. Anyways, I had 4391 posts on the old board. I'm more than halfway there, now, on these boards.

I had 354. That means i'm 60 behind my old record.

Yeah no problem DG. I wasn't awake when I posted it there either.

Funny.
Man, I'd love to see some of the old posters come back. Just going through the old boards I see name pile up who never come around here anymore.

Oy! I thought I'd go check out some of my old posts, but I got a "Page cannot be displayed" message when I clicked the archives. What gives? :O(

I have to agree with you there, DG. Unlike a poster who is now a bad memory that insisted s/he was the heart and soul of this board, I have to say that each contributor gives something very special to the boards that nobody else can give. And when one is gone, it is noticed. Sure the boards will go on, and great threads will continue to be posted and contributed to, but there is just something missing when even one stops coming around anymore. I guess they get just too busy for the boards, tho.

Oh, I'm not feeling gun shy. I just think it's funny.
Quite the opposite: kylewayne's right, I'm in danger of obsessing and need to step back for a breather. It's just that I was away for so long and these boards are so much fun, I keep getting sucked back in.

Hey Maxie, don't worry about it. You got to it before me, which is great. As long as it gets done, then that's totally cool with me. I ain't mad, I was just playin' wit ya! And I agree with Cal. Everyone is different here, and that can be very refreshing. It's great to see different opinions. Although sometimes even the self proclaimed "heart and soul" of the board can be blackened.

The people who make up this board can be seen as a body, and the head is DG, and there are those of us who are hands, feet, what have you, and the self proclaimed heart of the board in question certainly turned out to be something where the sun doesn't shine in the body!

But seriously, if we're all body parts, then I'm that hair on the arm that doesn't get noticed much, but sees everything from the very beginning.
Me and my low post count will go back into hiding.

I wonder - when did all you folks come in? Either...
a)The insidethewebdotcom days
b)members.boardhostdotcom days
c)original toonzone boards days
d)current toonzone boards

I came in in August 2000, it looks like, but I thought it was before then. So my guess is I either came in on choice A or B. I recall when you moved the old boards to toonzone, and my old link to the boards no longer worked, and I had to work like crazy to find out where you all went to! I think I lost the boads back then for a week.

I pick A, final answer Regis. I was also around in that time or somewhat before that with RobinIII's Alfred's Message board and The Bat Toon board. I think I've mentioned this already so I'll stop.

If that's the case, then what was up with the link I had that stopped working on me all of a sudden?
I did look in on the boards before I first posted, though. I think the Aug 2000 date is the one on my first post, but I was looking around here on and off before then. Perhaps when I went to the old link, it automatically took me to the new addy, but then stopped working?

The original Toonzone WF boards were created on June 11 i think. Only the BB board was there. Then by mid-july the other two followed suit. So you probably lurked there also.

I think I came at the end of the boardhost days. I remember what I *think* was my first post. I asked if there were any un-aired episodes of TNBA, since I found a pic of Ra's Al Ghul on the official site, and even posted the pic on the board. There was an easy way to do it: just type in the pic's URL in the line provided (giving this info to confirm whether or not this was from the boardhost boards, since I'm not really certain). Anyway, DG replied that the pic was from that Superman crossover episode, which I forgot the title of.

Dammit it's such a shame that we couldn't have archived stuff from the memebrs.boardhost days.

I can't remember, 100 maybe? I had several names. Split56, diamondpen56, brown peanut poop. I think I was banned once too. This was actually my first message board. I came around July 2000 and left when MMM spammed the board up.
How can I veiw posts from the old board?

I don't remember mine, and last time I checked, the old boards weren't working. I came around July/August 2000.

LOL! And I thought my handle was something else!
I wonder what part of the body I'd be, and if it can be mentioned in mixed company. Hopefully I'm not a superfluous foreskin that often gets snipped and left by the wayside at birth....
I've been here since fall 1998...so I think that was Boardhost. Another couple of fav boards of mine--now defunct--were ITW.commers. They will be missed

The archived boards (old Toonzone) can be accessed by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of the screen labeled either WF ARCHIVES or OLD BOARDS.

When I click on that link I get "Forbidden

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. "

When everyone who registered for the old boards at the TTTP had their usernames deleted, the post count was reset to 0. So, I really had a lot more than the number visible at the old board. And yes, I only posted to the TTTP, until after the old boards closed.
