Anime Expo New York + other conventions

In case you didn't hear, next year there will be 2 Anime Expos: the usual one in southern California, and another 3 months later in New York City. I believe California's Anime Expo will be again held in Disney Land sometime in July.

I was just curious to see if any of you have attended cons (anime or otherwise) in the past, or if you are planning on going to one in the future.
