It's a rare but not unheard of idea. The concept has been tinkered with in a few Superman cartoons and I think one comic storyline. How many of you would like to see a budding romance between Wonder Woman and Supes? Just a thoght...

Nah, I don't think I'd like to see that. It's almost a cliche now. As for who I'd pick as Supes new love interest...How about Mary Marvel?

I'd love to see that. I remember that being done in the comics, but it was wrapped up so quickly, as though the writers felt obligated to do it and just wanted to get it over with. I'd be in favor of that if they dealt with it as a longterm thread, as opposed to dealing with it in one or two episodes.

Supes and Wondy always work best when there's subtle tension between the two. A full-blown romance won't work to the advantage of either character, IMO.

That's probably true. On the other hand, if it's only going to be subtle tension, what would be the point? Since this is separate from comic book continuity, there's opportunity to do different things with the series. ROTJ, for example, is the perfect opportunity of the writers taking chances and moving things forward. For a Superman-Wonder Woman romance angle to work, there'd have to be some possibility of a payoff. When I say that, I mean that the viewers need to believe that something could actually develop between the two, instead of having the impression that the writers would never do it since its eventually going to be Supes and Lois down the road. I'd prefer to see something different here instead of revisiting the Clark-Lois romance. I'm not calling for major passion right off the bat. It can be subtle at first, but I'd like to see it grow from there.

Hm, well, now that I think of it, it would be an interesting relationship to explore, though they should also break up before the series' end as well. We rarely see romances that don't work out in animation. We could have them try it for many episodes, but their differences eventually split them apart or something. There beliefs and personalities tend to clash, and I'd like to see them explore that.

I for one have been saying for the last couple of years that their is a lot of sexual tension between them. Not only is it a current theme whenever their is a supes/ww crossover. But, their has been a few Elseworld books that have them getting together. I tend to think the writers would like to get them together. But, traditionalists would go nuts that he is not with Lois.

Yeah, I've noticed that. I'd love to see it happen. It seems like they want to avoid it just because Supes and WW are both superheroes. But what does that matter? I certainly don't see it as cliched for something to develop between them. It would make sense in my eyes.

--suppose she has feelings for him and he's too oblivious to realize it? That would create tension but appease the "no, don't cheat on Lois" crowd...esp. if she's too shy to say so. Unrequited love is always a big seller....

She does and Lois sure notices it. They have shown on numerous occasions where Lois has gotten jealous and made comments to both Supers and WW. WW actually had a fantasy about being(not having sex) with Superman in an issue.
