Dont everybody else miss the old seasons of the simpsons because when they start over, they only go back to season 8, and i wonder why they don't show seasons 1-7?

i'm surprised a channel in the USA doesnt show the old seasons as much as Sky 1 in the UK does
The older episodes are shown pretty often around here in syndication. My only complaint is that they seem to show certain episodes from past seasons a lot while not showing certain others often enough. Still, Simpson reruns are shown three times a day over here, so I can't really complain. :D

The Simpsons is in syndication on the local WB station and they are currently in season 3.
One of my local stations(18 WNDS) plays all the episodes in order....or at least they used to....the local Fox affiliate tends to play mostly the later(season 5 and beyond) episodes...

The local station here actually gives a pretty good mix, really early stuff all the way to some really recent stuff.

My area only shows Simpsons on Fox from season 5 and beyond. I haven't seen any of the really old episodes in a long time. That doesn't bother me too much, I never thought the show was that great until later anyway.

They have been showing some really old eps here lately. Just today we had the very first Krusty/Sideshow Bob ep.
What I wish they would do is put the Homer vs New York ep back on the air. It was a very funny episode you know ! >_<

It always bothered me that they've taken that episode out of circulation for the simple reason that Homer hangs around the Twin Towers for about half the show. Yet, they'll continue showing the episode with international terrorist, Scorpio, threatening to blow up parts of the U.S. and other countries if they don't meet his demands. Oh well....

It'll be back eventually, I'm sure.
"What do you have to drink?"
"Mountain Dew or crab juice."
"Bleh! Uhhh... ugh!... I'll take a crab juice!"
