Thomas Wayne and Wayne Enterprises

Thomas Wayne was a doctor right? So how come Bruce took over his father's company or did Bruce establish Wayne Enterprises by himself? Doctors normally don't have companies like Wayne Enterprises, do they?

Well, in ROTJ, Bruce says something like "I've worked long and hard to get my family's company back." That shows that the business was owned by someone in his family, probably his father. I think this has been discussed before, but i can't remember anything beyond what i've already said. Well, maybe one of the more avid discussers will stop by and enlighten us further.

Maybe Thomas Wayne got his doctor's degree and it mainly just used as a title. The goofy principal at my former high school did something like that just so he could call himself "Dr." instead or plain old "Mr.". Just a thought...

I always thought that Wayne enterprises was past down to the Thomas Wayne by a rich distant relative :confused: Btw, is thomas wayne a medical doctor or is it just a title of some sort that he obtain from university. Please someone set me clear!

--comics, he was a medical doctor who removed a slug from a crime boss. He was kidnapped from a costume party--where he wore a bat suit--and after doing the job, the boss ordered him rubbed out. He fought back, escaped, and thought that was the end of it. A hitman named Joe Chill, presumably hired by the boss, assassinated the Waynes several weeks later. Ironically the woman who raised young Bruce after that was Chill's mother (though he never knew that)....

Well, if Bruce can run Wayne Enterprises and play night time vigilante, I suppose his dad could run the company and be a medical doctor, too.

But, man! Those Waynes must have a lot of stamina!

You can get a Dr. title and degree in aspects of business too. Maybe he got that an a medical doctor degree. He seemed to be the kind generous helper, as he taught his son to do the same with HIS wealth and wisdom.

because Bruce has lived in the mansion all his life and all of the country hopping he did to train for being a crimefighter, the family must have been very wealthy. my guess is that Thomas inhereted the company from someone after he became a doctor.
