I can assume Bear Feat is still uncut.

Wotta Nitemare looked so good in B&W. I will only imagine the color choices they made to make B&W-hating kids happy.:( Why would I want to see it?

Little Cheeser is a 1930s MGM cartoon (and I thought they were into the early '40s now)

"Nelly's Folly" - Not as trippy as yesterday's "Now Hear This," but still shows UPA influence. For some reason, I like this one better than most other 1960 and later shorts.

"Tom Turkey and His Harmonica Humdingers" - Maybe I was wrong about H-I cartoons. Just good, clean fun.

"Bear Feat" - Papa bear's suicide attempt is disturbing, no matter how disfunctional his family is. Surprised this is uncut.

"Wotta Nitemare" - Agreed with Sveven, redrawing really ruined this Popeye classic. But, the bosses have their dogmas against anything b&w.

"Little Cheeser" - I'd assume this is the first in a series of H-I cartoons with Cheeser the mouse. Features a common theme from H-I "Things Come to Life" cartoons: Evil (Devil Conscience) vs. Goodness (Angel conscience), with Devil being pushed into "Dante's Inferno."

"Mouse-Placed Kitten" - Typical late 50's Bob McKimson effort. It just doesn't have the energy of earlier cartoons (Like "Baby Bottleneck," where a similar mix-up happens when a baby kitten is delivered to a mouse). Also gets plenty of airtime on CN.

I saw this cartoon late Friday night and I could not believe the double-standard that CN has been displaying!

In Little Cheeser, there is a scene where one of the consciences sends matches that happen to land in the shape of a mouse-sized cabin...by the way, they landed on the top of the book, Uncle Tom's Cabin. This scene was left in, believe it or else.

Let me remind you that the beginning of Trap Happy Porky had its beginning cut out because the sign says Uncle Tom's Cabins. Book Revue (Review) also has the scene where Daffy and the wolf are chasing each other through the book Uncle Tom's Cabin. That has also been cut.

Now do you see the double-standard? CN should bring those scenes back if they are going to leave the Uncle Tom's Cabin scene in Little Cheeser in!!

It only makes sense...then again, in Moronica, nothing makes sense!!

I think all references to Uncle Tom's Cabin will eventually be banned, not brought back.:( But in a PC country, what else would you expect?___________________End message.

___________________Below this line is a different message:
Eventually, devils and angels will be banned for being too religious. I know it's sad, but that is the direction this country is heading in.

On CN, you can pull a Brody, no problem. Just don't try blowing your brains out with a gun or drinking poison or hanging yourself, that'll get cut. I suppose to the censors the others are just too imitatable. Well, except maybe for that culvert a couple of blocks down, they're aren't really a lot of high places to jump from around my neck of the woods...so I'll just have to do it the hard way. [chugs bottle of Uranium-238 and gulps down match]

How is that Bear Feat scene any less offensive than blowing your brains out?

PLEASE give a response other than child violence.

Don't ask me to explain censor logic. You might as well ask me to explain Einstein's theory of relativity, or the writings of Neitzche .
