<img src="http://looney.toonzone.net/speedy-1001rt.jpg" align="right">A little over a month ago, we reported that 2 Speedy Gonzales cartoons had aired (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32958) on Cartoon Network following a Saturday night broadcast of Cartoon Theater. This marked Speedy's first appearance since the controversy surrounding his apparent banishment (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=26886) from Cartoon Network made headlines across the country.
Since that time, Cartoon Network has aired several more Speedy cartoons, and a peek at the newly-redesigned cartoonnetwork.com (http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/) TV schedule shows at least a half-dozen more set to air in the coming weeks.
HispanicOnline.com, whose original article "Speedy Gonzales: Banned in the U.S.A." (http://www.hispaniconline.com/a&e/people/speedy.html) helped create the movement to return Speedy to TV, has posted a follow-up article touting Speedy's return to the Cartoon Network schedule. Toon Zone's very own Jon Cooke, webmaster of The Looney Tunes & Merrie Melodies Page (http://looney.toonzone.net), is quoted in the article, and mention is made of The Termite Terrace Trading Post (http://forums.toonzone.net/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=6), which is Toon Zone's forum for classic cartoon discussion.
