dont get me wrong, i loved "the long halloween" and "dark victory", but i think i had my fill of loeb. and now with the owaw arc, why in gods name does he feel he has to incorporate some boring old historical speech into each superman issue?? good god, its so freaking lame, i almost dont even want to read his issues anymore. we had the gettysburg address, the roosevelt ww2 speech, and now a jfk one?? why? does he feel he needs to make the story more credible or artistic or something?? i just see absolutely no need for it, i mean why compare a comic war with real ones, it just doesnt work imo. I think it trivalizes the real speeches and it trivializes the comic even more cause its almost like he feels the need to put them in, as if the comic isnt enough, as if he needs to drive some point accross that he couldnt do by just sticking to the dc universe. jeez, i know its not a huge deal, but it bugs the hell out of me, its so damn pointless and trying to be more than it is. he needs to chill with those retarded boring ***** speeches for a while. what do you guys think?
