The temporary shutdown of Termite Terrace in 1953 ended Bob McKimson's association with animators Charles McKimson, Rod Scribner, Phil DeLara, and Herman Cohen ... they last worked together for "Lighthouse Mouse." The first evidence of changeover comes in "All Fowled Up," in which two members of Jones's unit (Richard Thompson, Keith Darling) receive animation credit (along with DeLara, the only member of the old crew so listed). Bob did much of the animation himself in "The Hole Idea," "Dime to Retire" and "Too Hop to Handle." After that, animation credits are dominated by the new crew (Ted Bonnicksen, Keith Darling, Russ Dyson, George Grandpré). So ... choose the best McKimson transition!

Awwww come on Tony!!! Those are all very fine cartoons, though Bob's own personal favorite was ostensibly "The Hole Idea" (likely 'cause of him doing ALL the animation by himself). Though the REAL standout cartoon among all of them was the brilliant Sid Marcus driven toon "Dime To Retire".

I went with "The Hole Idea". Brilliant cartoon, notably because McKimson animates and directs the entire cartoon all by himself... and SUCCEEDS!
